DR Jane - the candies are perfect and I enjoyed several this afternoon!  Thank you, again!

So in that "Audra McDonald to play Bess at A.R.T." story that broke yesterday

http://www.playbill.com/news/article/149072-Audra-McDonald-Reveals-Casting-in-Porgy-and-Bess-at-ART

does this mean they may actually be changing (or supplementing) some of George Gershwin's own melodies and harmonies?
I wondered that myself. Or if they will go back to doing it as a musical with speech in between songs. I hope it won't end up like "Carmen: The Hip-Hopera."

I'm a bit scared of what could end up happening to that Work Of Art too.  From what I've "heard", most of the changes will involve incorporating passages from the original play, thus making it more of a "play with music".  Well, in this case, a "play with arias".

*I'm just wondering what's going to happen to the orchestration.

I will lay odds that Bess ends up singing SUMMERTIME.

Hmmm, I'm considering a movie tonight, but have already agreed to take brother Paul to see CEDAR RAPIDS tomorrow night.  Hey, it's free,.

I expect we will be getting lots of movie reviews in the near future. :)

Good.  I figured as much but wouldn't want to repeat my mistake had I been wrong.

There are strict instructions with my movie pass about immediate family only.  Since my "immediate family" living here  all have 4 legs, I have adopted Paul as my brother

Odd, about the pass not your adopting Paul.

It's a family pass for 4 people.  I have no idea how they would prove you aren't bringing in your immediate family.   I'm really not that worried about it.  Mom said she's happy to have another son

In other news...

It seems that a passenger did not want to sit in his designated car. -They assign cars according to which city/station you are de-training at. From what I could tell, he was allowed to re-board.

Not very often, actually.  There are some special events but I rarely see no passes.

Well, I'm off.  I'm going to my sister's for some vegan chili.  At work tomorrow, we're having a chili cook-off and my sister said that she'd make some vegan chili for me to bring.  So that's what I'll bring.

Later tonight, some friends from Cannibal! are going karaoke-ing.  Today is the birthday for a couple of cast members and since there's no rehearsal tonight, they're going to party...but it's not starting until 9:00 pm or so, so I don't have to miss it. :D

Until later!

I am not- spring break for me was a month ago! Although it wasn't much of a "spring" break since it was about 20 degrees in Ann Arbor the entire time. Nope, I was just wasting time on the internet instead of practicing, and BK posted something on Facebook, and I thought, why not go over to HHW and check things out? I'm a little ashamed to admit that I can't even remember the last time I was here, but I'm so happy to be reading up on everyone's lives!

He was on the site a long time ago and he's a pompous twit.
