Here is an interesting group in Scottsdale that might appeal to Jane and Laura

Lost Our Home Foundation

I'm not familiar with this particular group.  As foreclosures began to increase animal groups began say the number of abandoned pets would also increase.  It is very sad.

I watched RUNAWAY JURY last night.

I really miss watching Gene Hackman on the screen.

I don't want to start a debate here, but I think he was the finest actor of his day.

Does anybody know why he retired?

Was he ill...or was he just tired of the whole thing?

I don't know and really no need to debate you personal opinion. :)

We have a boarder: 7 year old Chocolate Lab named Flurry:

Flurry discovers the well

Flurry enjoys the back stoop

Laps in bed are swell

The sofa is OK as well

I read an interview with him. He's pursuing his painting and he basically did tire of it all. Said he didn't want to go out on a low note. He just wanted to go out/get out.

Thanks for the answer.

Wednesday morning greetings!  I have some puttering time here until early afternoon when I'll go out to the retirement community to help my cousin wind things up in the patio home his mom is vacating.  He's done an impressive job and seems to have things under control.  He and my mom and I had a nice dinner together last night.

Ask BK:   How do the sales figures look for "The Counterfeit Traitor"?

I'm having lunch today with a former editor of National Enquirer, who was the lead reporter on both the Jonbenet Ramsey and O.J. Simpson murder cases.

Ask BK:   How do the sales figures look for "The Counterfeit Traitor"?

Sadly, it is currently our lowest seller.  I was warned up front: "Alfred Newman doesn't sell."  As a huge fan, you just don't want to hear it.  As a huge fan of the film and score, you doubly don't want to hear it.  But unless it's The Robe or How The West Was Won or Greatest Story, he doesn't sell.  Sad, shocking, and annoying.  We've sold about eight hundred of the 1500 - normally I would have only done 1000 and then we'd be fine, but 1500 is the bottom number with Paramount, plus the licensing fees are more expensive.  It may well end up the first Kritzerland project that doesn't actually break even, so that's a pretty good average - but I can't take another chance like that, unfortunately.  Happily, our next Paramount will, I think, sell much quicker.

Oh! We're now in Buffalo.

(In Buffalo...)

When you arrive at Penn Station will you have a home to which you can return?

Not yet. I'll be crashing at a friend's place for the next two nights, and then moving into the new place this weekend. I hope.

I watched ORDEAL OF INNOCENCE last night on an old VHS - the Brubeck music is interesting, but doesn't have much to do with the movie.....I like the original soundtrack much better.

I went home to lunch and there are 3 boxes with new electronic equipment. One is a box with speakers, the second is a box with the new monitor and the third is the (much smaller) computer. It's so much smaller that I'm thinking I might put it on the desk and put the monitor on the CPU.

But, as I said, I won't even begin to play until at least tomorrow. Tonight I'm getting High with Kathleen.

It's a beautiful day in Manhattan. I got to the Dental Clinic, waited around for 25 minutes, and my dentist didn't show. I called her cell, left a message and headed out. I went up to Encores! and helped Joshie for a bit with this April 4 Gala he's working on.

Now I'm home and ready for a nap.
