The cats are acting strange tonight....maybe because it's raining.  I hadn't thought of that until just now.  You can hear it on the roof and as it goes down the downspouts.   When I last looked it was still dry down the basement.  I'll check again before I go to bed.  We're supposed to get another 1-2 inches of rain

Re:  Laura Nyro.  I had a very sweet, but kind of sad, occurrence at a piano bar many years ago.  It was the week Laura died, and for some reason without even really thinking about it, I started playing "Captain St. Lucifer," hardly one of her best known songs, but a favorite of mine.  All of a sudden a woman across the room started weeping, and she came up to me and told me she not only recognized the tune, but that she had grown up with Laura and the two had been best friends at a summer camp they went to for several years running.  Amazing--all of this in Portland, Oregon.

I've been listening to Janis Ian Black is the New Folk CD.  I hadn't listened to her in years.

I'd like to post, but too tired to focus.

Work has been really emotional the last couple of weeks.   I really like it there.

It seems to be part of my identity.   I think that is a good thing.   :)

I think I am deeply in love.    My last one.   I don't even care how long it lasts.  It just feels good.

But it has made me very unfocused about everything else that I need to take care of in the evening and on the weekends.

I function much better when all the square pegs fit in the square holes.

Have a nice at home evening DR George.

Thanks, Jane...so far, so good.  I actually did stop at my sister's after I went to dinner at Panera.  She and her daughter had just gotten back from visiting our cousin in Oregon and they had gotten me some early birthday presents.  Some chocolates, some key lime pie flavored candies and Dr Horrible's Sing-Along Blog Book...which includes sheet music!  I have the DVD and the CD, so this completes the Dr Horrible collection. :D

I've never seen a Panera with a drive-thru, either.  We are regulars at the 2 in Lima.

I've never seen one with a drive thru either.  DR GEORGE, was there a different business in the building before it became Panera

No...it's a new building.  And it has quite the seating area.  I have no idea what it's like during the day, but there is a lot of room.

I am finally back from seeing Little Me at the Musical Theatre Guild - starring our very own Jason Graae.  I'll let you do the math - show began at about 7:35.  Curtain came down at 11:00.  Subtract fifteen minutes for intermission and you'll come out with a total that should tell you everything that you need to know about the "production."
