Oh...

Earlier today, I attended the 25th Annual Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS Easter Bonnet Competition.

For some of the details, Click Here

Personally, this event, as well as the corresponding event in the Fall, never fails to move me to tears a few times. Today was no exception. There were some wonderful tributes and remembrances. But there are also a lot of laughs. And, again, today was no exception. Seeing "Little Sally" (from Urinetown) holding a teddy bear clad in a Spider-Man costume, well... ;D

And this year's final fundraising tally: $3,706,085 (!!!!!!!!!)

Just in case...

The teddy bear was in a Spider-Man costume, not "Little Sally" (Jen Cody).

I loved Phoebe Snow.   Saw her at the Arlington Theatre in Santa Barbara.   Listened to her albums till they would not play anymore.

And now...

I need to get my bag ready for my trip down to DC tomorrow morning. I have to do some prep work at Arena Stage tomorrow afternoon, and then play a brief set of auditions for Oklahoma! tomorrow night. -We have to fill two slots - singer/dancers. -And then I'll be heading back up to NYC on Friday.

Goodnight.

My sister and I spent the evening watching the Richard Gere version of SHALL WE DANCE and the "Behind the Scenes" feature.  She owns it, but I'd never seen it.  I enjoyed it very much.
I thoroughly enjoyed it. The Japanese version is even better.

Had our very long rehearsal, which was the usual rough first time through everything - a LOT of music for the MD and despite having listened to it and despite our having worked together this week, he still forgot a lot of what we'd done.

Then the twelve-year-old (last day for THAT) and her folks and I went for some chow at Paty's coffee shop - I had a turkey salad sandwich.
