Good Afternoon!

Well... I had planned to head out for a bit of a walk around the neighborhood, but then the latest line of rain(!!!!) moved through. I did have my umbrella with me, but... I really wish denim was not so absorbent.

At least you had an umbrella. I was carrying too many packages!

Two words: Shopping Bags.

Waiting for the thirteen-year-old to pick up music and CDR.  Then the next person is four-thirty, and then we'll see what's what.

My question for Ask BK Day:

Dear BK,
What is your favorite Youtube video?

I liked the one you put up of Sandra cooking.

Well, then, you will be happy to know that she is inventing another floop recipe.

The sidewalk got wet a few minutes ago. It's almost dry. We could use some more, please!

Oy and vey - it looks like I may have to find yet ANOTHER helper.  Unbelievable.  The current helper just announced she'll be out of town from July 1 through 12 - first I've heard, and she acted like I should just schedule everything around those dates - of course, I'm sure we'll have a release to ship at some point in twelve days, so that's not good.  When she started, she told me of two periods where she'd be gone, both of which have passed.  Plus, I'm at the mercy of her auditions and call backs - that hasn't really been a problem yet, and I've given her endless leeway about how and when she does things.  So, we had a conversation and she doesn't like that I get stressed over this so she said maybe it's better to find someone new and she'll start looking.  I said that was fine but that she'd have to train them and I'd have to be comfortable.  I just don't get people - this is a great gig for her, she needs the money, it's easy/breezy, but that's the way the world is today.  I just can't run a company and be at a helper's beck and call.

Back from a delightful day in Dayton, where I saw many professional friends and met the author who gave the fundraisers' keynote.

Question for BK (or anyone...):

Can you suggest movies that portray people interacting with nature (the outdoors)?  Kids or adults.

My friend who works at the Audubon center suggested STAND BY ME or THE GOONIES.  I've thought of INTO THE WILD.

There are a couple of films starring Robert Logan  -- the "Wilderness Family" movies and Mountain Family Robinson!

And don't forget about the Anthony Hopkins-Alec Baldwin "The Bear."  It's a tad violent, but it's all out in the wilderness.

And while I'm on the topic of bears, try "Clan of the Cave Bear".

"Jeremiah Johnson" starring Robert Redford is a good outdoorsy/nature type film, too.

"Jeremiah Johnson" was the first movie that popped into my head.

Clan of the Cave Bears was horrible.

Helper crisis averted.  Now dealing with the insanity of trying to schedule the Nudie elements to be picked up in Arizona and trucked to me here.  This would normally be a very simple deal, but for the craziness of the fellow who's giving me the stuff.  He's sans e-mail, sleeps till two in the afternoon and wanted to do it tomorrow at four.  The trucking company does windows - noon to five - but the guy I'm dealing with put extensive notes on the paperwork and we think it will be fine and they'll call my guy at three to come meet them at four.  Then when the stuff arrives in LA they'll call me an hour before delivery and I'll meet them at the Public Storage place.

CBS has decided to move The Good Wife to Sunday nights. I really don't think this is a good idea. Especially with football always running over.
They think they are showing the show respect (by putting it on their biggest night). But I hate this idea.

I hope that the Canadian station that airs it does so at the same time so i won't have to deal with football.

thanks for letting me know.  keith is not happy with the direction the show has taken.  i wonder if others feel the same & the ratings will suffer with the move.

Did you see the finale?

I must not be reading things right!

First I thought I saw DR Elmore tell DR JohnG to look in the garbage for the package he mailed him.

Then I thought BK said he was waiting for the little 13 year old girl to pick him up by car.

I'll assume you were responding to me asking if you'd see the good wife finale.

Oh i thought you had after your comment about Keith not liking the direction of the show. I thought you were specifically talking about what happened in the finale.
