Jesus! My least favorite actress has declared that playing a Mother Superior has moved her closer to God. I wish someone would cast her in HELLZAPOPPIN!

Back from some matzo brei and a bagel, picking up packages, and taking stuff to Xerox.  Am making CDRs, and will go pick up Xerox in thirty minutes.

Hey, my new phone (it is called a Sidekick, or something) has voice search on it....I can say "AOL" and it will bring up AOL on the innerweb on my phone.

I can say "haineshisway" and it brings up underwear ads....and/or this here sight....

and I can say "Shari's Restaurant, Tigard, Oregon" and a map from wherever I am (it knows this) to the Shari's restaurant appears on the screen....I could sure have used that function when DR Jane and I got lost in Lake Oswego trying to find DR JMK and BK at Shari's.

It will  certainly be handy when I go to Los Angeles....first thing I will say to my phone is, "Antonio Sabato Jr." and see where it takes me.

I saw it once (Blood Brothers), and as predicted, my head exploded. I will say that the friend who was with me LOVED, LOVED, LOVED IT and cried and cried. I cried also, but not for the same reasons.

One friend of mine loved the Blood Brothers CD (I forget which version) and another hated the CD.  In 1993, they went to NYC with a group and they both went to see Blood Brothers.  The one who loved the CD hated the show and the one who hated the CD loved the show.

Go figure.

;)

I was obsessed with the cd and when I saw the show in toronto I was definitely not as impressed.

Picked up the music and all is done in that regard.  I'll bring two people's stuff tonight as I believe they'll be at the Alex Theater.  That only leaves two people to pick up music.

BK, in all fairness to Daniel Radcliffe, I don't think you can hold it against him that he was cast as  Harry Potter.  And he seems to be trying to pay his dues in the business.  He did EQUUS both in the West End and on Broadway, before he ever took the stage in HOW TO SUCCEED.  He got some very nice reviews for EQUUS, and my friends who saw it, thought he was terrific.  Also, if I am going to shell out $100.00 to see one of my lesser favorite musicals; I would certainly prefer to see Mr Radcliffe than Matthew Broderick.

I'd much rather see Matthew Broderick (and I did).

I went swimming this morning for the first time in a month. Thankfully there were some pretty slow swimmers in the fast lane. When i got to the pool there were 3 people in the fast lane. And they were all way slower than me ... even not feeling perfect.

The sad thing is that with me not feeling 100% and swimming breast stroke, I was still faster than all 3 of the swimmers doing front crawl. These people were really way too slow for the fast lane.

Then 2 other men came. One is older and he can swim a bit faster than me/almost the same. But he only does 2 lengths and then stops. The other man, who was probably a bit faster than me said he was tired just doing 2 lengths. So i wasn't holding him back.

After 10 minutes i was pretty tired. And after 30 minutes i was more tired than i usually am after 1 hour. But surprisingly after the 30 minutes it became easier. And i did 50 minutes. And i was less tired after 50 minutes than i was after 10 minutes!

I'm off to an AAUW board meeting, where it will be reported that we made more than $1600 on the garage sale this past weekend.

Bye for now!

And people wonder why you walk around saying "hainsehisway" over and over!  Or do you say"haineshiswaymen" over and over?

My entire upper left arm looks as if it has been tattooed a deep purple.  It begins just below the shoulder seem of my top all the way down to just above the crease in my elbow, the solid part anyway.  The bruising continues a little below my elbow.  Every time I look at it I'm shocked.  Craig was somewhat horrified and said I need to go back to the doctor.  Keith & I think it is to be expected.

Sorry if that is TMI but it is a post. ;)

KSL, which was the CBS affiliate in SLC when I was growing up but which has since become the NBC affiliate, and which is owned by the Mormon Church, has just announced they will not be broadcasting NBC's new series THE PLAYBOY CLUB this fall.  Strangely, they are still fully committed to broadcasting SMASH.  ;)

What is there that is offensive about SMASH, other than it starring the new Lucy?

And Elmore, I can't believe you would even think that I would be sexting Broadway players...I mean, I don't even know how to sext.

I just got an e-mail with the subject line of: "Look Great Naked."  I thought I had gotten an e-mail from Congressman Weiner.

I liked the Tonys.  I haven't seen any of the shows this year and I really enjoyed it.  I would like to go to New York sometime this year and since I no longer have the income I used to, I'll have to choose only a couple shows to see. I may pick something I wouldn't have considered after watching the show last night

I shall now be on my way to the Alex Theater to see Bat Boy.  Since I didn't really care for it much in its off-B'way version, I can't imagine I'm going to love it at the Alex.

Back from the board meeting.  I'm thankful that the only obligations I have this year are to continue shepherding the evening book group and taking care of the organization's social media presence.
