I have returned from the market where I purchased everything I could remember I needed and then some. I also posted my NY State estimated tax payment, and I passed on the street an actor I recognized from one or several of the LAW & ORDER franchises. Beats me.

I will vacuum and tidy up a bit.

DR Ben, you should have been going to see Dr. White all these many years, and you wouldn't need to have any work done. Unless you break a tooth, or something. Dr. White and the dental hygienist Ann make sure all one's teeth are in good shape.

Death Takes a Holiday.....remember the play that Penny was writing in YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU?  (A typewriter was delivered by mistake, so she decided to become a playwright).

Penny was writing SEX TAKES A HOLIDAY.....

I wonder if Sex and Death stayed at the same place.

Why not?

Ibid.

My Aunt Pauline passed away yesterday morning at 10 a.m.  She was nearly 90 years old and had lived in a "facility" for more than 10 years.....and did not recognize anyone when they visited.  It is a sad, but necessary part of living.....this dying business.

re: DR TCB's comments last night (and DR JRand commented on the same thing earlier) about people saying they will accept any role but then dropping out when they don't get the role they want.

The way DR TCB said it (he told them he would not mind at all but to just tell him) seemed very nice. But I wonder if people auditioning feel that if they say they will accept any role then it makes them look better.

Just read that the Academy of Moving Pictures has revised the rules for the Best Picture Oscar.  The number of movies nominated will now be five up to ten instead of a solid ten as it has been set for the past two years.  I guess the ten picture nominees thing didn't work out the way the movie studios thought it would...

Last night's rare TV viewing included perhaps the weirdest "sitcom" I've ever seen, a mid-70's outing called THE TEXAS WHEELERS with Jack Elam as the grizzled father and Gary Busey (!) and Mark Hamill (!!) as brothers/sons.  Oy and vey.  It was an MTM production.  Truly bizarre stuff.  There was also an episode from another MTM series which I vaguely remember, the Paul Sand sitcom FRIENDS & LOVERS, which has a most delicate theme by Pat Williams.  Also on the disc was an episode of GLYNIS (evidently the old new Lucy, produced by Jess Oppenheimer) and two episodes of Tim Conway's RANGO.

Actually, it may have been MANY HAPPY RETURNS which was brought to us by VEL.  I also watched several episodes of that last night.  Great theme by David Rose and the show's creator, Parke Davis.

GLYNIS was sort of a mystery comedy....co starring Keith Andes and a nifty Thunderbird!

Interestingly (at least to a music geek like me), they completely reorchestrated the theme after the pilot, as well as redoing the opening credits.  The pilot had an animated credits sequence.

One thing I noticed last night whilst watching GLYNIS--(co-star) Keith Andes' voice is a dead ringer for Peter Graves'.

I need to travel down to the 7-11 today to inform them that the weakeness of their wireless signal makes piggy-backing off of them quite difficult.
