Wow - we are twenty-three percent funded.  Don't want to mention who the pledges are from, but it's very nice to see the names that are showing up.  And don't worry if you don't do it - believe me, I understand that not everyone can do this sort of thing.

BK, can you tell us again how the money is collected? Is it a paypal thing? Or could I send a check? Does Amazon charge your credit card?

Wishing broken legs to both Druxy and BK today on their readings!

Hope you both sell many books!
Ditto. Sorry I can't make the one in Austin, DR Druxy.

I think the "Company" movie will be shown in some theaters on Tuesday. I was planning to see it then, if time allows.

Thank you, DR JRand.  Despite the circumstances, there is a lot of laughter going on when we're together.  My niece has described what we're experiencing as "grief with relief."

:)

Everything seems to be going smoothly & quickly which I think makes it easier.  Continued good wishes for your family.

Good thoughts and vibes to you and yours, DR Ginny! I am very glad that your family are enjoying the getting together part, even if it is for a solemn occasion. No doubt your aunt would want it to be that way.

Thank you, DR MBarnum.  Even though she had, in recent years, lost her ability to enjoy family get-togethers, I've been reminded over the past several days that she wasn't always like that.

Thanks, DR Jane.  My cousins have some challenges ahead concerning her estate, but otherwise, yes, things are proceeding quite well.

My sister and I had fun taking all the girls shopping at the outlet mall.  Jessica found shoes for the wedding she's in next Saturday (on a cruise ship in the Bahamas!) and Mary Linda found shoes to wear for her own wedding in September.  My sister bought an outfit to wear to the Sept wedding and I bought her a necklace to go with it.  I bought myself some sparkly eyeshadow.

The hotel girls picked up sandwiches and are resting there now; Mary Linda and her sister and I came back here and ate leftovers and they've taken off for more shopping.  I'm about to stretch out in my new recliner for an hour or so.

Laura, yes, Amazon will charge whatever CC you have on file with them, but not until July 17.

I am currently thanking my lucky stars that I did not delete sent email--I went over to our rental house today to show it and discovered the current tenants had put in a dog door without clearing it with me first.  They had asked about potentially doing it, and I had sent an email outlining that they were responsible for all expenses in getting it back the way it was, and thankfully I still have that.  I have become rather coldly ruthless in dealing with them after the ex-boyfriend's inflammatory email to me the other day.

And in the when it rains it pours department, I have three (count 'em) prospective new tenants all vying for the house, though I think I'm about to close a deal with a couple and their 16 year old moving up here from Clovis. California.  For the second time in this adventure's history, we have people taking the house sight unseen (aside from lots of pictures, and Google Earth.).  :)

My favorite line from BK's Kickstarter appeal:

This will insure that the film will be saved for many years to come, and preserving the film that introduced the world to "Dancing Dildos" is imperative and necessary.

Unfortunately, the negative was housed at MGM and they've been through about eight owners in the last thirty years and it's just gone.  We had a brief hope two weeks ago, but it didn't pan out.  Either it's sitting somewhere mis-identified, or it was trashed or the film's second distributor moved it and they're out of business for close to three decades so it's just gone, I fear.  I think the only reason the CRI showed up is because a film dealer bought everything housed at a company called Film Bond, which is where the interneg was stored.

Bryan needs a place in Portland for July & August as he will be doing two rotations at OHSU.  Craig considered going there for the two months to look for employment & see if he would like to live in Portland.  There really isn't much time for Bryan to find something let alone a furnished place for two people & a dog that is affordable.

Is Aunt Jo your mom's sister?

Yes, DR Laura, Aunt Jo was about 10 years younger than my Mom, but if you'd seen them side by side you'd have thought the opposite.

It's the scotch I tell you.
