I'm up, I'm up - boy I must've needed a long and good sleep, which I had.

Saturday morning greetings!  It's our 2-wedding day

I don't think I could get Keith to go to two weddings in one day.

As for the Topic of the Day...

-The BIG Walking and Eating and Walking and Eating and Walking and Eating tour.

That was really something!!!!

Watching DR Jane savor(!) her meal at Zaytinya in DC. ;)

It was good, almost as enjoyable as the company.  I was there because DR elmore said I needed to see the Library of Congress & then he couldn't coordinate a trip there.

I also had fun the night before listening to you preform during the play though I was disappointed I couldn't see you.  It was my first time to see an orchestra pit under the stage.

Last night, my wife and I watched UNKNOWN w/Liam Neeson.

I know I'm in the minority here, but we enjoyed it.

 :o

Yes, the car chase is a bit long and there are a couple of moments where you briefly question the story's logic, but all in all, its quite entertaining.

This is one of those movies that you either go along with for the ride, or you don't.

And, in this case, the ride was fun.

 :)

We have it on our NetFlix queue so I moved it up to the top.  It won't be released until next month.

This whole weekend I am dog sitting Dog Piper. Piper is some sort of terrier doodle mix. He is mostly a sweet dog, but he stinks...and is making my allergies go crazy.

He is also petrified of cat Freddy, who has been nothing but nice to him...once he made sure the dog knew who was the boss.

We took a nice early morning walk, and right now Piper is hiding under the bed.

Poor Piper & why didn't they give him a bath before you took him?  Your allergies might not be so bad had they done so.

MBarnum has evidently shut out memories of his many PDX gatherings, probably because he wasn't quite sure where he was.

;D  I also noticed since I was at four of those.   The first one when we were all delighted to find how relaxed & comfortable we were never having met before.  It was Betsy who was extra relieved after you invited all these "strangers" to your house. ;D

I'm glad I didn't ask Keith why he was taking the nice vase outside.  He returned with two roses from the garden & put them on my desk. :)  We don't cut flowers from the garden.  If I ever get any in the house it is because he is trimming the bush and the flowers are about gone.

Very excited to read about all of the OKLAHOMA! adventures....but NO pictures?

DR JRand - I'm just not that comfortable taking candid - or non-candid - pictures of a cast I'm still getting to know. -There's only one person in the cast with whom I've worked before. However, that's changing day by day.

In the meantime, for some pictures and video clips from last fall's presentation, CLICK HERE

Is it basically the entire cast of the earlier production?

-Oh, and, of course, meeting DR MBarnum for the first time on DR elmore's fire escape. ;)

And he has also confused Tacoma with Olympia.

With this one you truly are in the minority - it received some of the worst reviews not only of last year but of the last decade.

What a wacko day this has been so far.  I was heading over to the Dale of Glen to meet an alum of Hamilton High who was going to Mystery and Imagination to get the last two Kritzer books, as she'd loved the first one.  I got a call on my cell phone - a friend asking where I was.  And I'd totally forgotten there was a birthday lunch for two of the former theater department heads at LACC at a restaurant on Los Feliz.  Luckily I was just approaching the 5 freeway and I went directly there - the lunch had begun at eleven-thirty so I was forty minutes late, but people had actually just gotten their food, so I ordered a lettuce wedge with light Eyetalian dressing and ate about half of it.  It was nice to see everyone, then I came back to the Valley, picked up an important envelope, and am now just home.  I also stopped at Public Storage and signed the new contract for the much less expensive space.  I think I'm still going to seek out a lawyer specializing in class action lawsuits, because there's just something very wrong about me paying fifty bucks more than I needed to for many years and no one disclosing to me that I was doing so - and I'm very certain I'm not the only one.  Same thing happened with the phone company - I had to ASK why the bills were so high and THEN I was told I was paying double what I should have been.  At least they gave me a couple of free months, but Public Storage was not willing to do anything about the past.

It's broiling hot in the San Fernando Valley and whilst I go jog I shall turn on the air conditioning so it's cool when I get back.

Welcome twelve GUESTS.  Perhaps one of you would like to pledge to the Nudie Musical Kickstarter campaign?  Perhaps one of you would like to come out of the woodwork and join our merry troupe?

Sad news about Alice Playten. I loved her in "Henry Sweet Henry" and all those old Ben Bagley records she did. I think I'll have to dig up my copy of her singing Cole Porter's "I'm Only a Schoolgirl." She manages to be both innocent and all-knowing at the same time in that one.

Anthony was also relieved after the very first NY get together we attended. He went with me because he was worried that I was meeting a bunch of strangers from the Internet. We went to Angus McIndoe's on 44th Street and 8th Avenue sometime in 2003. Larry was not yet a part of the group and it was small but it was a beginning.

I've always liked her best in PROMENADE. And her Alka-Seltzer commercials.

I saw her THE LAST SWEET DAYS OF ISAAC with Austin Pendleton.

This is very true. I joined in 2004. I do remember my first get together at Barrymore's. I was on crutches, as I recall.
