Since it was the first time since Memorial Day when there was a 24 hour period without a forecast of rain, I stained the east side of the garage after work.  I still have to do the rest of it, but this is the side that faces the street and is most obvious.  If tomorrow night is nice, I may do another side.

It didn't take that long, maybe an hour and a half.  I'm staining it the same color as before, it was just wearing pretty bad and wasn't looking good.  Now it looks great again.

Waiting for Cindy to come on the Mike Douglas show.

Rehearsal was fine tonight....finished Lusty Month of May....more staging than dancing so we can hear the lovely singing.....very difficult for me.

I gave my SCORE to the vocal director, so choreographing from the script and a Chorus Book is most difficult.....

And there is no way to say.....from the tra la or from the lusty month of May....there are too damn many of them.  I tried to do it by the square numbers as well......but for some reason, some people can't find what's right in front of their faces.

DR JRand, you and I may have a new favorite entertainer!

Rita Pavone

She is adorable...and she even made a spaghetti western musical in the 1960s!

Now that I have spent my evening getting sucked in by Facebook and HHW, and not getting anything done (as usual), I will go to bed.

We suspect there was more sucking on Facebook than here at haineshisway.com.

A question for all of you in the know:

Do you think Brigadoon would do well as a revival on Broadway?

I don't think Brigadoon would do well - it's not as good as Finian's Rainbow and that couldn't make it.

Aw...

R.I.P. Margaret Tyzack

I saw her in Lettice and Lovage w/Maggie Smith. Amazing, both of them.

I too, saw that production quite wonderfu.

I thought she was wonderful in I, Claudius too
