I, on the other hand, am up.  I shall shortly be on my way to the lab to hopefully finish the Nudie Musical transfer.

DR MBARNUM - I have Ms Rita Pavone's album from years ago....and saw her on The Ed Sullivan Show.....she sang a very strange version of "Remember Me" in English that was....very strange.....

I think she probably wanted to hit the director of the show with that hammer, and she messes up her lip synching toward the end....but fun!  But she was plain looking.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9blBLP2slRw

I am way behind in discovering her...but I just ordered the region 2 of her musical western LITTLE RITA OF THE WEST which co-starrs that blue eyed Italian hunk Terrence Hill, as well as my old buddy Gordon Mitchell.

Even if the movie sucks, Terence Hill will more then make it worth watching.

Speaking of BRIGADOON (the film version), one of it's stars, actress Elaine Stewart, passed away yesterday at age 81 in Beverly Hills. She had been ill for quite some time.

I thought this was why we were discussing Brigadoon--must have missed a post again.  :)

Welcome eighteen GUESTS.  Better register now if you ever want to post because I'm seriously thinking of disabling the current registration system due to the unbelievable amounts of spam registrations coming in every day.  Another board had to do exactly that and now you have to e-mail them directly to register.

Elaine was married to some game show producer and used to be the DICE girl on High Rollers, or something like that!

Little Rita of the West sounds exactly like what it should be.....I wonder how many songs she sings in the movie?  ;D

Back from my doctor's office and the vampire's blood lab.  Now, to have some lunch and regroup for the grocery store...

I wasn't going to weigh myself today, but decided to. I sort of thought I might have lost the 10lbs i'd put on while i was sick. Not quite. I lost a solid 5. But I've been exercising a lot (1-2 hours a day). So i think some of the weight is muscle. Cause I feel like I am at least back to where i was.

I can't believe how hard it is.

Nope, I honestly thought someone must have mentioned Elaine's death, leading to the discussion of BRIGADOON.  What I meant by missing a post is I must have missed the actual post that started the BRIGADOON conversation.

And she was married to Merrill Heatter.

From Jennifer:
Quote
Bk, I'm sure you must have said this before, but why do you only like to eat only one meal a day when you are on a diet? I've never heard of such a thing. I could never survive. I like to eat lots of fruits and vegetables. And eat at least 3 times a day.

What you do Jennifer is not really diet but to improve your eating habits & life style which in turns takes of the pounds.  It is also easier to maintain your weight once you lose the excess.

Didn't DR Laura start the Brigadoon discussion by asking if it would be a good candidate for a Broadway revival?

I am home today, as my car is being serviced.

The bad news:
Big repair bill

The good news:
The long list of things they found wrong suggests they found what is causing the car's troubles. I hope so! The car is ten years old and has a (ah-hem) ding in one side, but I'm not prepared right now to replace it. I hope it will soon run well again...I hope...I hope...

My schedule for tomorrow has changed. I'm not going back downtown tomorrow to the McGlinnventory, as I expected.

I guess I will sit here and watch the Irish construction workers put the scaffolding around my fire escape. Your loss, Mikey! You might have met the love of your life.

I have no idea what they are doing to the building, but I'm sure the landlord will find some way to turn it into a rent increase
