On June 16 BK posted a link to "A Certain Cinema" that had an article. The link was to their front page, and I can't find the article for that day.

ETA: http://www.acertaincinema.com/dailies/

Scroll down to June 15.

Oh, that article.   ;D  That's really driving that many people to the site?  Seems odd.

My StatCounter device on my FF site tells me exactly where everyone is coming from, so to speak.  Takes the guesswork out of it all.  :)

It Is to Laugh, Today's Edition, Department:  Reading the liner notes of this 1960 Instrumentals compilation, they quote a Gramophone review of the Bobby Darin instrumental (yep, instrumental) "Beachcomber," as proving that Mr. Darin is not one of the "three chord" wonders.  "Beachcomber" is a modified blues consisting of, yep, three chords.  :)

Well, maybe it was another article. That's the only one I remember recently.

I fear our desktop PC is going kaput, but I am holding out hope.  MS Word has been completely wonky on this PC but is working fine on all of our other laptops, etc., so I'm worried.  I did buy the new Office 2010 last night and will install that later today.  I asked the right guy at Best Buy for help finding it last night--turned out he was the Manager, and he price matched Amazon, which the clerk said *never* happens.  :)

Was there never an official soundtrack recording of THE SUNDOWNERS?

There are, however, several versions of MIDNIGHT LACE.

I got sick of so many emails from classmates.com that I went in there and changed my email address to something I don't even remember.

;D  I simply told classmates to stop sending them.  Now I only get a few.  I still want to know if a classmate attempts to contact me.

You know, I don't really want anyone from high school to contact me. With only one exception.

Back from various and sundried and she of the Evil Eye has left.  I think I'll eat a couple of tuna sandwiches - already did the four-mile jog, and doing just the sandwiches will enable me to eat a little something later.  But here's an amusing stat: At the Daily Grill last night, I had a "starter salad" - their chopped salad, which was dressed VERY lightly with bleu cheese dressing.  And the oak plank salmon.  I found the calorie count for both items at that restaurant.  Guess which had more?  Yep, the salad.  Unbelievable.  Still my whole meal came to exactly 1500 calories and I'd burned 400 calories so it was fine, but I think I'm done with salads for awhile - they are amongst the most fattening of all foods, so, so much for health.

It's the dressing and/or avocados that are fattening, not the main salad fixin's.

I am installing Office 2010 in the hopes it will work and I can put off buying a new computer for at least several decades.  :)

When you piggyback it helps if you're outside. I'm sitting on the patio right now and the Internet connection from wherever is strong and solid. Amazing! In the house it sucks but out here it's available.

Oh!

And barring any other changes, a week from tomorrow I will be on the podium of the Fichlander Stage in the Arena Stage at The Mead Center for American Theater.

Excited and scared.

But mostly thankful for the opportunity.

:)
Wonderful.

Avocados are not fattening. They have fat in them, but they actually help one lose weight. So, do olive oil and almonds.

How does one make sure that no one is piggybacking on their signal?

Not according to my doctor and naturopath.  But of course it doesn't stop me from eating lots of all three.   ;D

Aren't avocados full of saturated fat, the bad kind?

I posted about piggybacking off of a hotel some two miles from us when our internet was down.  Gabe averred that despite that signal's intermittance, it was still more reliable than Qwest.  :)

It's palm kernel that is the bad fat.

There are three (count 'em) ravishing versions of THE SUNDOWNERS on this new 1960 compilation set.  I love, love, love that theme--perhaps more than avocados.
