THE JETS RUMBLE

Well, you've read the notes, the notes rumbled and moved like a jet, and now it is time for you to post until the rumbling cows come home.

George, did you order both at the same time or separately - I'm sure both were sent if you ordered them separately.

BK, I ordered them separately, when they were each released...Drango on July 2nd and Perfect Hermany on July 10th.

That's about the only movie of his that I like...I've never been a Brando fan.

No, we're not on Long Island.

That would have meant traveling in this heat.

Today is supposed to be a smidge better. It will only feel like 105 instead of 120.

I'm in the un-air conditioned living room and I'm about to return to the bedroom for more sleep in the cool air.

Saturday morning greetings!  I'm up to see Rob off to a job interview and get myself ready to go to Dayton.  I'm having brunch with my friend and former co-worker Sue at the restaurant that's just opened across the street from the library.

Good morning, all! I slept later than I wished since i would like to have finished the laundry earlier than I will. Thank God it's only a block walk. I also slept well last night and that's a bonus.

Once the laundry is begun, I have to tidy the apartment, vacuum and mop. Following that, the day is my own. I'm staying inside, working on personal projects or watching DVDs. I have two free days before we have the week to finish up EILEEN for shipment to Dublin. I think we're in good shape, though. And right on schedule.

DR John G, Danny Troob is doing the orchestrations for the new stage version of ALADDIN that just opened in Seattle. What the world needs: another "cartoon" musical to open on the Manhattan theme park that was once called Broadway. I'm sure it will sound fantastic, but you know my personal thoughts about the orchestrator, and I admit that I am really sick of Disney muscals. The only redeeming thng about this one is that it's directed by Casey Nicolaw, and I think he's wonderful.

To the laundromat.

BK - I know you've had some bad experience with seating at the Eclectic Cafe, but glad you're giving them another chance - it was one of my favorite dining experiences in my brief L.A. trip years back, even though I can't recall what specific dishes we had.

Hoped to have gone there more than once, but the group of friends I was with really wanted to sample different places rather than repeat, and one of my friends was doing the driving, so I didn't get to go back to Eclectic Cafe a second time that trip..

A Streetcar Named Desire

Looking at his film output I've seen very few of his films.

That's about the only movie of his that I like...I've never been a Brando fan.

The general apartment tidy-up is finished! After I bring home the laundry, I'm jumping into a cold tub of water to cool off and enjoying a day to myself.

DR Laura, how are your babies behaving today now that their anesthetic has run its course?

No, Elmore, we do not need another Disney musical.

I finally finished "Cousin Bette" the other night. Dreadful.
