Night, all. And pie dreams.

I will admit to a little bit of ice cream tonight. It is cooling on a warm summer night.

Nothing exciting to say anyway.

Fun evening.  They really had the sound down -- musically, vocally... The dress and hair - perfect.  Even the cute little Liverpool dialects.  I had a Subway picnic to boot. How does it get any better?   :D

YEAH!

I don't mean to put a damper on your windfall - rather rainfall - but... Do you have to worry about flash-flooding in your area?

DR Jose I'm sorry but I laughed.  Your parents are something else, in a funny good way. :)

DR Jane - Don't worry, I laughed too. -But I really was way overdue for a call. I think the last time I checked in with them was the week before I started rehearsals for Oklahoma!. And I'm sure I'll be "laughing" again once my Mom starts to ask for tickets to Oklahoma!.

Finished with my viewing and dozing off.  Just praying that the lack of sleep over the last week isn't going to get me ill.  I'm thinking good, positive thoughts, so send excellent vibes and xylophones.

The rain has stopped, although there is still some thunder and lightening. Maybe another cell will swoop through and we will get some more rain.

Tonight I decided to use the panko.  There was a recipe on the box for Macadamia nut/panko breaded chicken breasts.  I didn't have macadamia nuts and I only had chicken thighs in the freezer (they were on sale a while back)  So I grabbed some pecans and made pecan/panko breaded chicken thighs.   I baked it instead of frying.  I can tell you one thing, it was filling.   The jury is still out on whether I really like it or not.  It was ok.  The panko may be better fried.  Anyway, I have lots of leftovers to eat the next couple days

DR Cillaliz - If you make that recipe again - and bake instead of fry - just sprinkle the panko on top of the chicken before baking, and use a bit less than the recipe calls for. That should make it less filling. ;)

I had ice cream.

So did I.

And I also had some (more) gelato earlier today too from the same place I went yesterday: PITANGO.

I had no ice cream and no PIE.  Maybe I'll be super good tomorrow with what I eat at lunch and then I'll go to Marie Callender's and have PIE.  If one has the pumpkin or the custard or the cherry, it's no more calories than a donut.

Or you could take a "side trip" to Baltimore or Washington, DC, and head to Dangerously Delicious Pies. ;)

I'm not sure if they ship. However, I do know that they offer frozen uncooked pies for sale in the store. So, I guess if you were to request an overnight package packaged in dry ice, well... ???

*They also have a "Pie Truck" that travels around DC. You can track their location HERE. :)

We've had a DOWNTON ABBEY marathon playing here tonight.  Up through episode four.  If Maggie Smith doesn't win the Emmy, there's no justice.
