I very foolishly left Jason Graae in my cramped little mailbox last night.  He is now safely in the apartment, and he sounds fantastic.

He sang to me on my trip to and from Dayton yesterday and I enjoyed it very much!

DR Jose I'm sorry but I laughed.  Your parents are something else, in a funny good way. :)

Fran Landesman has died. Love her lyrics for "The Nervous Set," especially "Ballad of the Sad Young Men" and "Spring Can Really Hang You Up the Most," which was cut before the show went to New York, though everybody seems to think it was played on Broadway.

Betsy and I had to put DOWNTOWN ABBEY on pause today when Maggie Smith uttered the unforgettable:

"What is a week-end?"

One of her more brilliant moments.

Purrcy and Sunshine are very purry with people. It's just with the other cats they are growly.

That should help them get adopted.  People love purry kittens

Tonight I decided to use the panko.  There was a recipe on the box for Macadamia nut/panko breaded chicken breasts.  I didn't have macadamia nuts and I only had chicken thighs in the freezer (they were on sale a while back)  So I grabbed some pecans and made pecan/panko breaded chicken thighs.   I baked it instead of frying.  I can tell you one thing, it was filling.   The jury is still out on whether I really like it or not.  It was ok.  The panko may be better fried.  Anyway, I have lots of leftovers to eat the next couple days

Just finished listening to the Jason Graae: Perfrect Hermany.

You have to submit it for the Grammy consideration in the Traditional Pop Vocal Album. I think it's worth the attempt. That's how good it is.

Hmmm, you changed the parts of the chicken, you changed the nuts, and you changed the cooking method!  What part of the recipe did you use?   :D

They are all purry kittens -- just not with their brains scrambled.

I will. I just had a piece of it cold. It's not too bad. Next time I won't put it with the pecans.

When I went to the humnane society and got Ricky, he was the stinkiest cat you've ever see. He had just pooped, and he was pacing around his cage.  When I got him into the room where you can play with them, he was just so sweet and wanted to cuddle.  So, I decided the poopy smelling affectionate cat was for me.  I actually played with a number of kittens, but kittens are easily adopted.  Rick wasn't full grown but he was about 11 months old.  Old enough to not be a cute kitten.  There was just something about him that made me think he woiuld be a great kitty to live with.   Best decision I've made.

Don't know if I mentioned it before, but Ricky weighed 8 pounds when I got him last October.  As of last week, he weighs almost 12 pounds!!  He's finally growing into his big feet

I don't think I have picked out a cat since I was in high school. I just acquired them in one way or another.

Craig enjoyed his 7 mile hike & only lost the trail once due to snow covering it.  He had to stop 1/4 mile shy of the top because Yogi couldn't maneuver the rocks.

That's what happened with the cat from backdoor. He much prefers me to his owners.

I made Sugar Pie last year when Indianapolis was in the Super Bowl. It's a little different because of the buttermilk, but believe me, both are good. Too good.
