I guess some folks didn't read the notes - please send excellent vibes and xylophones for no sickee.  I did finally get eight and a half hours of sleep, so that was good.

My MacBook, which has never been in the best of health, took sick again on Monday. I turned on the power and ... nothing. I was finally able to start it using a somewhat esoteric protocol, but I really thought I'd be buying a new computer. I've been in need of a good, local computer expert who knows Macs, and it now looks like I found one. Mr. Mac Expert came here yesterday and spent all afternoon doing various checks and repairs and it now looks like it's running smoothly. He'll be returning tomorrow to do one more thing. It appears that I picked up some malware. Several times over the past few days I've seen an ad for "Mac Protector." Mr. Mac Expert said that that's a malware program. I must have inadvertently clicked on it.  Mac users, beware.

DR JOSE our first act is running about one hour and forty minutes......just finishing the second act tomorrow night, so I don't have an accurate running time there....probably another hour or so.....

It's a LONG show no matter what we do.

One of my favorite lines of Nathan Lane in that Cubby Bernstein clip.

Do people say Fiddler is too Jewish?
Do they say THE WIZ is too black?
Do they say CAMELOT is too long?

Well, as a matter of fact they do say CAMELOT is too long.

Hello, everyone! Thanks for your vibes. They did some good, but not enough. That printer is on its last legs.

So, I got the call made to Kinko's, who cut our last round of card stock today for free and gave us two reams of new card stock cut to the correct size for nothing. I have nothing bad to say about them any more. We have wasted a ton of stock because of this pathetic printer. I doubt any vibes will save this piece of crap.

I am now having dinner: pastrami on rye from Arties with potato salad and cucumber salad. It was a 7.5 hour day filled with frsutration, and I'm glad to be home. I expect to be in bed early tonight.

BK question:

Did you notice a few days back when I posted that I was watching the Bollyood version of HIGH AND LOW?

It was pretty good, although I don't know if it was as good as the  Japanese version which I really need to watch again...it has been many years since I last saw it.

You know, Mikey, it scares me everytime you and BK agree about a film!

That Was Fast Department:  THE BEAVER is due on Blu-ray.  I'm sure it will fly off the virtual shelves.

Soon to be followed by THE WALLY and THE LUMPY.

and you can find it on Amazon.com as low as $1.99.

They will also be having a reunion of THE WALTON'S cast and the BATMAN tv series cast.

Considering some of the recent photos I have seen of Burt Ward; it will be a very big reunion!

Oh, I forgot, Van Williams (The Green Hornet and Surfside 6) will be there as well! It will be nice to finally meet him in the flesh, so to speak, rather then our long ago meetings via phone and e-mail.

Sadly, I have been unable to interest the the guys who run the show into letting Laurie Mitchell be a guest. She really, really wants to do the show, but they said "no."    :(

Of course he is surly - he is 15.

He'll have a hard enough time autographing anything with keeping DR MBarnum at arm's length.

You are probably right.  At age 76, he is just about perfect for Mikey.

Ben, something went awry - yours didn't get sent, even though I know I put your note in with the invoices - it's why I don't love getting checks because somehow those orders occasionally have problems - she sent it out today.

Thanks, Bruce. It should be here in a few days. I'm looking forward to it.

Let's get Mikey all riled up for his trip! If we get him randy enough, maybe he'll do something foolish and end up in jail.

I just got back from another Dental visit. I have two more appointments to finish the emergency (it's been going on since June 29). Last week because the lab work wasn't ready he did one of the non-emergency teeth that only took one session.

Next Tuesday I'll be in the chair for a root canal (which will begin the process for tooth replacement) and next Wednesday I get the impression taken for the permanent crown for the front (emergency tooth).

I'll be seeing Dr. Najeeb until sometime in September! I have another tooth that needs a root canal and then replacement and one other tooth that just needs a filling restoration which is a single session visit.

Maybe he'll be signing some of his G-string photos as well. Author and all-round jerk Ethan Mordden had a huge infatuation with William Smith.

Yes, DR TCB, I'll have my computer with me and it knows how to play nice with the wireless in my sister's house.  I'll be E & T during the days, but will check in each morning and evening.  Maybe I'll even have some photos!

Satuday I'm getting up bright and early and driving to pick up my mom and go to an auction in my home town.  It's a friend of hers and there are a couple things she's interested in.  Then I'll see Adam Sundee and Gabe and hang out for the afternoon, and will head home at night.   I really hope the auction doesn't run all day.   Anyway, it will be fun.
