As the "silent partner" in the hosting of this bridal shower for Mary Linda, I've ordered a cake at Central Pastry and 2 balloon bouquets at Flowers by Roger.  I also played at Kathryn's a bit and shopped at GFS.

gotta keep saying --- I;m lucky to have a job  lucky to have a job lucky to have a job    if I say it enough maybe I can convince myself its true

Considering how hard you work, vixmom, and the hours you put in on your job; your bosses should keep saying over and over again, "How lucky we are that she works here."

Good morning, all!

Good news on the success Gardenia show! Kudos to all.

I went to bed at 9 and slept until 7 this morning, so I got around 10 hours of sleep, which I needed, and I am taking a day to myself to regenerate, regroup, and refresh.  Around noon, I'll run down to the Lincoln Center NYPL, looking for the missing KNICKERBOCKER HOLIDAY scrapbook.

I checked Fed Ex, and the three cartons were delivered to the Dublin address. I'm waiting for confirmation that it's everyhing we shipped and not a shipping error. Today, I'm tidying the apartment, putting things away, and working on other projects. I have no idea what fresh hell will arrive on the EILEEN casting front, but I'm starting to understand why John McGlinn could be so difficult to work with producers!

I awoke this morning to find an email from DJ, our Appalachian Christmas creator, and we have a producer and performance dates in November-December in Hilton Head! This is most exciting. Perhaps the employment pendulum is starting to swing the other way for me. Keep those fingers crossed.

What wonderful news, elmore!  Congratulations.

I'm very tired.  I worked prepping for the hearing until about 2:00 and then got up at 6:00 to get ready and go to court.   I think it went well.  We're not expected to win, but I don't know. I think the evidence came in extremely well for us.  The court took it under submission so don't know when we'll have a ruling.

It was a crazy week.  I don't often have two important and very different hearings that close in time to each other.

TOD...oh I don't know.  At the moment the only place I want to go is to bed to sleep as long as possible.

TOD:  Considering the weather in Phoenix this time of year, I think I'd like to be in Cape Code.  Or Cape may.  Or Cape Anne.  Or Cape Horn. Or anywhere but here.

It is currently winter in Cape Hope.

Just had a call from Barry Pearl with some rather shocking and tragic news - my friend Annette Cardona passed away this morning.  I've known this wonderful woman for over forty years.  She was Rosemary to my Finch, she was Cha Cha in the movie of Grease, and more recently she'd been a therapist.  We had her in our LACC gala a few years ago, and she did one of my panels a couple of years ago.  It was all very sudden - cancer - found a month ago.

Very tragic, BK.  My condolences.

It is true...my friend Kathy was completely blind-sided last Friday when her "position was eliminated" and she had to leave right then.  Absolutely no warning.  She wasn't fired for cause, but was treated like she was. :P

At least, if she was laid off, she should  be able to get UC.  (Sorry about that, FJL)

I've got photos from last night's show - have to resize them and put them into tinypic and then I'll post them later.

Yay! That scumbag Jeffs in Texas has been found guilty of sexually abusing his 12- and 14-year-old "wives." Kill the pig.

So, i had a rather enlightening phone call from my brother Randy today. His comp[any's bank appraised my dad's property at $748,000. Then, e told me thay he asked the realtor to price it at $750. Macbeth, ever greedy, ever scum, told the realtor to price it at $850. It will never sell!

I also told Randy and Jo that they should come to Hilton Head in November. I hope they do.

Randy also told me that the Macbeths have been talking about a trip to Ireland, and he's sure they will be jealous.

I hope they die of envy!
