Did you really expect them to pick her up after the way they gave her to you?

Silly me!  After all these years I still keep trying to have a  bit of faith in my fellow man.

And as they run the auction scene...

I managed to get my luggage packed and all of my errands run before heading into the theatre in a timely and non-rushed manner.

Since it will be an afternoon wedding and since I am not one of the groomsmen (at least I don't think I am), I went ahead and splurged at Thomas Pink on a new dress shirt and tie (no suit jacket). Hopefully, that will be dressy enough. And I even picked up their wedding gift. And a card. (Whew!) ;)

I'm back from a lot of stuff.  In fact, I have not stopped since nine.  We got everything shipped, I sent singers mp3s and sheet music (well, three singers - I'm still choosing stuff for the fourth and we now have to cast the fifth).  Then I did the four-mile jog and whilst doing so I came up with some really funny stuff for one of our LA episodes for the web series.  So, maybe I'll finish writing that one today or on the plane tomorrow.

Now I have to pick up mail and packages, do banking, and then eat.  Once I'm back, then I have to really make sure all details have been attended to for our Monday and Tuesday shoot.

And here's the new can of worms: the producer of the recording has sent an email to everyone saying she prefers Mary, my preference, to Marcela. The only problem is that she's a day lat and Marcella has been signed (I think).

I hate the fact that the "producer," and I'm very fond of her, is a day late with her opinions.

In the "who knew?" department, I just discovered that BK's sometime dinner companion and long ago co-star of Miss Frances Farmer Norman Lloyd produced the American version of the old UK horror series, "Journey to the Unknown," whose theme song is still emblazoned upon my synapses 40+ years after it aired briefly for part of one season.

What a lovely set of notes, BK.  They made me smile, they gave me goosebumps, they even brought out a few tears.  I have truly enjoyed this journey that you have taken with Melody; from the first discussions about a possible act right through to opening night.  The only thing that could have made it better, would to have been there last night.

Thanks, BK.
