It's nice that we can walk up and meet candidates, but we are bombarded by them for about a 1 1/2 years.  I won't be answering my phone unless the caller ID is someone I know for the next 6 months.

Well, the pills are now kicking in, and my little adventure took it out of me; so I think I had better got to bed.

Last week I had about 10 calls from polls. The calls I answered I declined to participate.  I have had Obama's people call 5 times, Michelle Bachman has left messages probably 10 times, and there have been others.  It's a blessing and a curse.

Long but fun day at the winery, bookended by terrific barbecue and fried chicken. One happy camper.

I'm hungry for chicken over a charcoal grill...not gas, charcoal.  May have to clean up the weber grill tomorrow and fire it up

I just dipped my toes - well, my feet and ankles - in the Pacific.

Nope. But I did try the fried pickles at Smash Burger, the cupcakes at Cups, and the ice cream at Moo Town.

All three cats have been within 3-4 feet of me all evening.  I guess they are glad I stayed home tonight!

I've been thinking about driving out into the country to look for meteors.  But, I've seen the showers many times.  It's cool, but I think I'll pass this year

Hearing a cat purr is one of my favorite sounds.  I've been lucky enough to hear it a lot today
