Did I mention that DR Sam packed up her stuff and headed back home to finish her degree online and be happy?

No.  I hope it works out for her and am sorry she never adjusted to the move.

I have decided that if her "older man" makes her happy, what the heck.  I just like to see her happy

What else can you do. :)  So he is the reason she is moving home.  I thought she didn't like it at school.

One of my favorite Woody Allen lines, even though he didn't deliver it.  Alan Alda did.

"Comedy is tragedy with distance."

So true.

TCB, I got the wallet at amazon.com - they don't seem to sell RIFD protected wallets in stores, at least that I could find.

She went to school and was so miserable that she was getting physically ill.  I told her that there was no reason for her to be miserable, especially if she could finish her degree online.  I think she was just waiting to hear that.  She had it all planned out. Got up the next morning, packed up the blazer and hit the road.  I've NEVER seen her so happy.

Good for you  encouraging her  to follow her heart

Actually that's just what I told her to do.  I have no idea if this relationship will work out, but they both really seem to care about each other, so who knows, it could be the real thing

My cousin married a man the same age as her dad - they have been married over 30 years now

She has never liked it at school.  She went to be in school. Her parents both loved it there and can't understand why she doesn't.  The bf is her real reason for going home, but she met with an advisor and can finish school online.  She'll do it.  I have never seen her so confident as she is now.

The age thing has always baffled me.  If two people come together, love each other, and are happy, I don't care what it is if the younger person is legal - and this is coming from someone who has occasionally had relationships with MUCH younger folks.

!!!! We finished all of it !!!!
I am very sleepy and very tipsy from a pint of Guinness, but I am very happy it's all finished and I think it will be good. Thank you, all, for the vibes. This site is the best ands deserves to be the most popular on the internet!
Are you sure it was just Guinness? Guinness has only about 2% alcohol. They give it to new mothers in the hospitals over there.

Well...it looks like someone reads HHW:

By the Book: Broadway Revival of Follies Performed Without Intermission Aug. 23

;)

Wasn't Linda Lavin in the production?
She had another obligation. Jayne Houdysell (sp?) took over for her.

I guess it comes as no surprise to anyone reading these here posts (except one possible 2-D person) that Haines His Way has the greatest people on the entire Internet.  Most web sites have members; HHW has family.  Thanks to some of you, my birthday turned out far better than I had any right to hope.  I am very happy to be a member of this amazing family.

Now I will just shut-up and get to work on the posting total!

But of course.

Let's all have a pint (of whatever) to celebrate DR Elmore's completed recording!

We'll Take a Glass Together!

;D
Congrats and what a song to celebrate with. It's a permanent file on my MP3. I often play it while exiting the building.
