JRand, that wasn't the flight attendant- that was the copilot. Did he give you a little bag of peanuts?

Hi Kerry!

Well, the scariest movie I have ever seen was Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, so there's not a whole lot I can add to the discussion, scary movie-wise speaking.

It just occurred to me...if Mike Brady had been the architect of the Glass Tower, this never would have been a problem.
Called the Glass Tower, of course, because all the muzak played in the elevators is by Philip Glass.  No, it really doesn't take the elevators forever to get from floor to floor, it just sounds like it.

Not too bad a day at work, actually kind of fun.  I've found a good crew to work with.  Today was spent with Chris, who is in his early thirties and taller than me.  He's a typical Rehoboth type, very accepting of others for who they are and non-judgemental.  He used to be a line cook, and blanched when I told him about the party food incident.  We're going to get along just fine.

After, der B decided we had to see Shrek 2.  I was too busy laughing to pay any attention to how he was reacting to the film, aside from a sidewards glance or two.  We enjoyed.

I've two days off this week.  Wednesday, we're heading down to DC for something called Spawn of Eden, or something like that.  (Well, it would have been if it had been produced at Universal during a certain era...)  (Thank-you, DR Jose, for the help you've given us!)  And Friday, it's off in the other direction, to NYC for Assassins.

At some point, I've got to get laundry done.  Ah, well, tomorrow is another day.

Back from a great night at the gym. Here are the nightly totals:

Abs: 5 min.; Elliptical Machine: 50 min.; Avg. Heart-Rate: 156; Calories Burned: 650.

I'm feelin' fine and I'm sure that I've lost ten pounds just tonight. Ha! I wish. I do feel good, but I really need to shower now. I'll be back...

Re: our absent DR Jenny:

She and der Brucer were chatting again today.  She's still got computer problems, and is using her sister's computer, which cuts down on her online time a great deal.  Other than that, she and her family went for a weekend in Provencetown.  Der B says her reaction was "It was like the Castro on a Saturday night...only gayer."

I'm still trying to figure out when she's ever been to the Castro.   ;)

What's an Elliptical Machine? I thought that was for kidney stones.

This is an elliptical machine. I don't think it's good for kidney stones, but it's definitely good for chocolate chip cookies. ;)

I don't knowif Mr. Pogue catches up on the posts that he missed from the night before, but someone might tell him tomorrow to check out this post.

Our local movie reviewer wrote an article in today's paper regarding remakes.  I thought Charles (and possibly Panni) might find this one paragraph interesting.  Thank God, there are film directors who can, apparently, do it all single-handedly!:

Marry a visionary director, like Jackson, and state-of-the-art special effects and you can wind up with a remake that puts the original to shame. Vision is key. David Croenenberg, an artist with an unsettlingly original mind, took the schlocky 1958 sci-fi horror picture, "The Fly" - Look Ma! A man with a fly's head! - and created a nightmarish examination of scientific obsession and ghastly transformation. And with a line like, "Have you ever heard of insect politics? ... Insects don't have politics. They're very ... brutal. No compassion, no compromise," that picture burrowed into the brain and left a lasting imprint of ineradicable fear.

Well, I wish I could say that I looked that good on my elliptical, but I don't. I don't quite understand what the problem is, but I keep working out--hard--and I've seen very little change in my body shape. I dunno...maybe I'm being impatient.

Hmmmm. I'll leave this to FS Pogue. But let me just say, that IMHO the local reviewer is an idiot.

Well then we'll see what we can do about that.

Well, if you decide you want to do something about it...:D...I would ask that you decide to send them to my address at work. I wouldn't want any cookies to wind up stolen. I think your mom might have the address...otherwise I'll PM it to you.

Oh! And thank you...!!

I just peeked at my classic movie poster calendar...The poster for June is FORBIDDEN PLANET - so much more interesting than May, which was GIGI. How many times can you look up from your desk and have Leslie Caron winking at you before it gets OLD?

Well, it certainly CAN'T BE ANY WORSE than seeing the likes of my photo (on the left), as well as several other photos one sees here day after day after day.  Old or young, some do get seen more times than others.

 ;D ;D ;D ;D

Welcome seven GUESTS.  Wonder if one or two of them are Merrily Searching?

See them look for things,
Things I guess they think we say
Merrily they search along, search along
Looking for clues...
