We did a pre-migration check of a spot I knew about from birding -- she had never seen it until I took her out there last spring to see if she thought it might be a good spot to check, and she was amazed. No monarchs today, but the habitat is perfect for their migration, so we will check it out.

Not this year, Mom told me she saw some and a friend sent a photo.  Mom said not as many at her house this year, but she thought they may be just starting.  They are late this year

I have more to do than I have time to do it and I don't want to bring work home every night and weekend. It's a good problem to have but it keeps happening and I'm not quite sure why.

In the accumulated mail that Richard picked up at the PO today was the season brochure for our local symphony orchestra.  Their first concert, on November 19, is a pops concert called "I Got Rhythm: Mickey and Judy's Hollywood" featuring Shauna Hicks and Jeff Harner.  I believe Shauna is on some of BK's recordings, right?
