Good Evening!

One "side effect" of having a very productive day was that my energy level took a pretty big drop about halfway through the first act tonight. Thankfully, there's always a full pot of coffee brewing in the green room.

In about five minutes, all remaining tickets for Oklahoma! will go on sale for $45. Arena put together a special page on PitchEngine and there are some pics and vids included with the press release:

The OKLAHOMA! Territory is Now 100,000 People Strong at Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater; Company Holds Three-Day Celebration; Remaining Tickets are $45 When Purchased September 7-9

Wish I could go. Looks like I'm going to be chained to a desk or laptop or many months to come now.

Looks like the book deal is happening. So, I have to write a book this all, take two grad classes, work full time, maintain the website to keep the advertisers happy and sleep. Going to be a busy fall.

Hmmmmm... Amaretto Almond Delight Cake!

*Does the "Delight" come from the shot of Amaretto you drink with each slice? ;)
More from amaretto glaze that soaks into the cake. But you could shots with it. Sure.

Congrats John G.... I've been having that "I'm so glad I'm busy, but I'm going crazy with all this busy, I want the work, but when am I going to find time to get it all done" feeling all day today.

it's a good problem to have, but it's stressful none the less.  I feel blessed to be so busy, but man does it wear me out

Man, this day got away from me.  I got up and was immediately inundated with messages about what another soundtrack label was doing, having to do with re-pressing a limited edition that sold out quickly in about twelve hours.  They basically said they were out of the limited edition game, were going to do whatever the market would bear, and threatened that any title that didn't sell well would be pulled and effectively go out of print.  That story changed many times throughout the day because I'm sure they began to realize that they have CONTRACTS, those little things that have obligations in them - so they waffled and back-pedaled and now basically are saying it will be business as usual and occasionally they may re-press if something sells out quickly.  Meaning, their limited to 3000 units line is bogus and untrue.  Leave it off, but they won't because then they suddenly lose the BENEFITS of the limited edition.  They've basically shot themselves in the foot, I believe, and, for me at least, the credibility issue has gone to hell.

I had to do the four-mile jog, then eat something and then pick up only two packages, neither of which were the ones that are overdue, and no replacement for my debit card from Paypal, which, I found out today, was sent one WEEK ago.  Unbelievable, the mail system.  Hopefully it will arrive tomorrow because I am so mightily weary of dealing with all the autopay people sending notices to me because their payments didn't go through - I called at least five of them, but forgot a couple.  I had to actually speak strongly to one such company about their use of language in their dunning e-mail - I had to remind them that a) this has never happened, b) they need to be a little understanding when someone has had the unpleasantness of having their cc breached, and c) need to not send out notices that make the consumer feel like they are a crook.

When I was talking to Paypal they told me that the Walmart had responded, and the case was still open.  They don't need any further info from me at this time, but I told them if Walmart was trying to say the charge was legitimate, that I would sue them, because I had no less than ten conversations with them telling them the charges were bogus and not made by me, as I've never been in their STUPID city or store.  So Paypal, who are very understanding, noted that in my record - they know it's ridiculous, which is why they haven't asked me to respond officially.  All they'll really have to do is compare whatever signature was used to mine own - the tale will be told and then I will go after Walmart, right to the top of the corporate food chain and I will get people fired.  I will not rest if they are trying to do anything other than what is right.

Then I gave the final approval for the Nudie Musical packaging and master, and that's all getting sent where it needs to get sent.

Then we had our stumble-through, which went really well - a lovelier than lovely cast of gals, great songs, and it was just so much fun.

After that, I somehow got ensconced in eating a piece of halibut and after that I had to print out all the stuff for the Gardenia and do some other work.

We're actually in really good shape, reservations-wise - there are already enough dinner reservations to just about fill all the tables and there are ten show reservations beyond that, and I know a few people who'll just show up.

Alas, a lot of states don't require a signature on credit card slips for certain amounts any more. In NYC, it used to any amount $10, but I think that limit has been raised. Even at Starbucks, they usually just ask if you'd like a copy of your receipt, not if you'd like to sign it.  And I know that on the NJ Turnpike, a signature is only required on purchases over $20.

I don't think they would have allowed a two hundred dollar purchase without a signature.
