I think an evening of BK songs at the Gardenia would be very nice.

Before Melody sang More I Cannot Wish You I told the little story of how Loesser came up with the lyric that no other lyricist EVER would have come up with "with the sheep's eye and the lickerish tooth".

Many of the arrangements last night were by Alex Rybeck from Liz's album, including My Heart Is So Full Of You.

Was it running low on batteries?

Nope.  I charged it before going to bed.  I attempted to go forward for about 5 minutes before jumping ahead & back tracking.  It worked fine after that & I read for at least another hour.

Mary Linda wore her mother's wedding gown from 1982

I meant to ask if it was her mother's dress.  Yes, she would have been one of the few brides to look good in a strapless dress.

Someone like me must have kicked the bucket......there were LOTS of old Broadway and Hollywood LP's in the Goodwill bin today....most of which I have....like looking at my own collection.

I didn't get through them all.....but I did buy the LP of GOLIDLOCKS with Don Ameche and Elaine Stritch, that I have never heard....and a Mitchel Trio LP violets of dawn....John Denver, Joe Frazier, Mike Kobiak...  There are some songs on this album that I haven't heard...

PT at the theatre?

WOW!

Yes, PT at the theatre. Since the choreography in this show is so(!) athletic(!), they hired a PT to come in each week to help keep the actors in shape, alignment and good health. Most Broadway shows now do the same thing now. It's a way of insuring the general well-being of the cast.

*If all of the slots here are not filled up by the cast on the day the PT comes in, they open then up to the staff.

As for the Topic of the Day...

Ever since I learned the songs from "Hans Christian Andersen" in my fourth grade music class from Sister Edward Eileen, I.H.M., I've always had a soft spot for "Inchworm".

I love GOLDILOCKS! It's a really funny show, and the score has some wonderful numbers. The ballet music is fantastic.

THE TALK is doing a tribute to 9/11; the footage and comments are heartwrenching. It still hurts.

*I'm also getting annoyed(?) with the teasers they've been running on the news for upcoming stories about 9/11 and the 10-year anniversary. They all seem to be introducing the stories with phrases like "A tragic tale...", "a bittersweet story...", "an emotional..."... Alas, words like "tragic", "bittersweet" and "emotional" are essentially the essence of 9/11.

It's quite dreary here in SW Ohio today...

It's quite dreary here too. Again. Of course, as I was driving in, I happened to catch the latest line of storms for most of my drive down I-66. It was quite a tentative drive. Thankfully, most everyone on the road with me slowed down too.

I've also been checking the coverage of the flooding in Maryland as well as upstate New York... There really is no where else for the water to go. :-\

Well, DR Jose, the skies are still dreary here, but my day has brightened considerably by the surprise the mailman brought from you!  Thank you so much!
