Well, getting my Los Angeles vacation planned, little by little.

One day will be spent at the Hollywood show, but since there isn't anyone at it that I am all that excited about (except Abby Dalton and Sherry Jackson and Donna Loren) I will likely not attend both days, so on that sunday I will hie myself to Little Tokyo and see the play WIDOW OF NO IMPORTANCE which features The very funny actor Parvesh Cheena who played Gupta on the now cancelled TV series OUTSOURCED.

I do need to arrange with BK to do the Kritzerland tour, as I have not yet done that, and I really do want to. Maybe DR Jeanne can come and we will force take BK out for some Indian food.

My eyes are now dilated...and everything is somewhat blurry.  I don't know how long I can last at work, but I'll stick it out for a while, at least.

Is there someone who can drive you home, George?  or can you take a car service?

Thanks for your concern Fred, but I'll be fine by the time I need to leave work...so it's not a problem.  Right now, I'm wearing sunglasses (the kind that completely cover my regular eye glasses), so it's all pretty dark and comfortable, but not so dark that I can't work.

Neither he nor Betsy have been on Facebook.  I hope they aren't have problems connecting again.

...And now that I've napped, I need to get ready to head in for tonight's show. Alas, my friend, Brendan, who was supposed to see the show tonight, got "picked" to fly a plane from IAD to BWI due to an equipment problem at BWI. -And then he'll fly back to IAD later tonight. Yeah, he's a pilot. And a violinist.

DR George did you pick out new glasses or will you go back for them when you can see better?  Do you order your contacts on-line?

DR John G did you figure out your classes?  How much work did you miss?  Shouldn't you have received email from your classes with your course work?

I've watched Anderson Cooper's talk show, which I liked a lot. I missed about half of it talking to Ron Raines about FOLLiES last night. I've also begun, later than usual, filing my tax receipts. I usually do it twice a year. the and of June and in early January before I start working on my taxes, but i'm moving slowly this year.

I've never gotten contacts on-line.  They gave me five pairs of daily-wear contacts to try, since I've never used daily wear contacts before, and they said that the kind that I had been wearing aren't going to be made for much longer...and these are cheaper.  I didn't pick out new frames, yet.  At first glance, I didn't like much of what they had available.  I'm going to go back next week after using these trial contacts and decide something then.  I do need new lenses and I'll probably get something similar to what I have now (Silhouettes).  At least, I'll be able to keep my current frameless "frames" until the new ones come in.

This morning The Monarch Scientist and I went up so I could show her the monarchs I found on Saturday. Sadly, the place is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Who closes on Tuesday and Wednesday?? ???

So we stopped a couple of other places. Didn't see a monarch all day. Oh, well, she says "No data is still data."

Did the four-mile jog, had some matzo brei and a bagel for lunch, picked up two hundred Nudie Musical blu-ray sleeves to sign, and am told I'll be seeing an actual pressed disc tomorrow.  Once I see that, then they can replicate.

They are usually less on-line, compare prior to purchasing.

Why not re-use your frame since you like it?

We had a little hiccup today and I had a feeling it would come - last week, when watching Nick's Nudie documentary, I noticed for the first time that Image Entertainment but a stupid copyright notice on it.  Now, they do not own the copyright nor have they ever submitted for copyright - they offered me an advance against royalties and instead of taking it I told them we'd use it to pay for the documentary.  Therefore, they did not fund the documentary, I did, and therefore I own it.  They had the rights to it for seven years, just as they had the rights to the film on DVD and VHS for seven years (their contract expired in 2009 and that is why the disc is OOP everywhere).  The authoring guy and I discussed removing it, but it was complicated due to some music that would have been cut off along with two shots that follow it.  So, after discussion and my explaining it all to him, we left it.  Of course the replication place saw it and immediately asked me to get documentation - of course, there is no documentation - it wasn't even part of the original contract, and the original contract is buried deep in some box and I wouldn't even know where to begin looking.  So, I called my guy at the authoring place and he said to just write him a note of ownership and indemnification, a simple half-page, which I did.  He thinks it will all be fine now.

Craig & I managed to leave oil all over the kitchen counters.  I made one attempt at cleaning it before I left for my book group.  I need to give them a good cleaning now.

The potatoes & chipotle were a big hit.
