Vibes to MR BK for the fire.....

Good news from DR GEORGE re: His computer.

It turns out of course that my Firefox crashes were being caused by a program offered by COMCAST, that I had installed to make myself "safer."

I uninstalled it, and things seem to be working fine.....except now I am just half safe.

I'm glad you finally solved your problem.

London!!!

How wonderful.

Yes.  I love London.  My mother was from England making me feel connected to the people & the country.

What are your favorite candies?  Mine are humbugs and Thornton's special mint toffee.

In honor of our new DR being from London, I just ordered a DVD of the British film THE GOLDEN DISC (aka THE IN-BETWEEN AGE)....England's answer to Columbia Studios' 1950s rock and roll films.

I feel so honored!  I thought I knew all there was to know about British films but I don't think I've ever seen that one.

DR MBarnum is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to obscure movies. ;)

DR Jane is being overly kind about DR MBarnum's taste.

But, then again, our DR Jane is a very kind lady.

Jacobs is something of a British institution having been a TV and radio presenter for so many years. He's still going strong as a presenter on the BBC at the age of 85.

I LOVE David Jacobs. I listen to his show every Monday morning on the iPlayer. Now if I could just get a UK IP address I could watch television shows as well ;)

There really is nothing like a good ole Nestle Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie that's still warm from the oven.

I'm up and have at least had a good telephonic conversation regarding the hiccup.  I've sent a requested e-mail and hopefully this will work out, although the fellow who called and who could take care of it is leaving town today.  But he promised he'd get it to someone who can take care of it.  The other guy I'd called and written and who I know is out of town, too, but will be back shortly.  So, keep sending excellent vibes and xylophones for a happy conclusion.

MY FREE KINDLE HAS ARRIVED!! ;D

It came pre-installed with a couple of free dictionaries and a welcome letter.  I was able to set up the free Wi-Fi here at work and register it with my Amazon account.  It had a charge, but I'm going to let it fully charge up the battery now.  I'll play with it more at home tonight. :D
