I'd sent them a funny e-mail just now - basically saying that I hoped someone would get back to me sooner than later otherwise they'd have an elderly Jew's heart attack on their heads.  I got a call back immediately thereafter from the gal who'd written me in the first place, and she was laughing - she said they'd had a meeting and decided they would allow me to put the blu-ray out as scheduled and by the end of the day today I should have an e-mail to that effect, that I can then forward to the replication folks - that e-mail will also say they're signing off on the documentary to be included.  So, hopefully all's well that ends well.

We've had a taste of autumn in the DC area.  The temperature this afternoon was almost 30 degrees lower than yesterday afternoon.

Same in Manhattan! It's quite wonderful.

DR Doug, one of our tradition's around here is sending vibes for people in need.

VIBES TO AN EX-NEIGHBOR OF MINE WHO IS MISSING!!!!

One of his daughter's just chatted (through FB) with me & told me.  He is in L.A. & was my neighbor for several years when I was 18 until a couple of years after I was married.

Work is still crazy.  I'm getting a lot accomplished, but there is still a ton to do.  The good news is I was afraid I wouldn't catch up until the end of October and now I'm thinking I can do it by the end of September.  Whew~!

Still no e-mail from Image - I really was hoping this would be done so I could rest easy this evening.  I suppose it could still come, otherwise I'll have to be nervous until it arrives tomorrow, I guess.

I did not reach my goal of reading 100 pages of DAVID COPPERFIELD today.  I had better go do some reading.

There were 8 of us here tonight to discuss American Chica, which we liked very much and thought it one of the best Middfest tie-ins we'd read.  We ate key lime pie and lined up our next two books and meeting places.  Now all I have to do is update the website and I can relax about the book group for a while.
