I got a call back immediately thereafter from the gal who'd written me in the first place, and she was laughing - she said they'd had a meeting and decided they would allow me to put the blu-ray out as scheduled and by the end of the day today I should have an e-mail to that effect, that I can then forward to the replication folks - that e-mail will also say they're signing off on the documentary to be included. Work is still crazy. I'm getting a lot accomplished, but there is still a ton to do. The good news is I was afraid I wouldn't catch up until the end of October and now I'm thinking I can do it by the end of September. Whew~!

There were 8 of us here tonight to discuss American Chica, which we liked very much and thought it one of the best Middfest tie-ins we'd read. We ate key lime pie and lined up our next two books and meeting places. Now all I have to do is update the website and I can relax about the book group for a while.
