Well, you've read the notes, the notes were wry and are now toast, and now it is time for you to post until the wry cows come home.

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And I really should be in bed by now, but I went out after the show with my friend, Brendan, for a great late night diner meal. And as we are wont to say here on HHW: we laughed and laughed until we couldn't laugh any more... and then we laughed some more.

I also found out earlier tonight that next Tuesday's day rehearsal has been cancelled(!!!!!!!!). Originally, we were supposed to have our final full understudy-cast rehearsal next Tuesday, but after some lobbying from the dance captain - and since we're having a put-in rehearsal next Friday anyway for our Curly understudy - stage management decided to give everyone the day off. Well, at least the daytime off. We still have a show that night. So...

I wasn't planning on heading back up to NYC that day, but... However, I will be heading back Wednesday night since we're off on Thursday, so... We shall see. -I may make a trip down to Richmond since I haven't been down there in months. Or I may make a day trip up to Philly. We shall see.

Just received in the mail the Warner DVD set Errol Flynn Signature Collection Volume 2. I love those classic Errol Flynn films. I already have volume 1 but for some reason didn't get round to buying volume 2 until now. Despite all these Blu-ray discs floating around, I still enjoy watching DVDs and I doubt that any of the films in this collection will ever go Blu. I also like the fact that Warner package these discs in slim cases which take up less space on shelves - one thing I'm really short of is storage space to put all these DVDs, Blu-rays, CDs, books etc.  I can hardly move about the place without tripping over another pile of discs!

I'm listening to an old album The Divine Miss M. I just put a bunch of CDS on my computer at the office so I'll be listening to many different things, as well as my usual appointment with Desmond Carrington at 2pm on BBC 2. I'll listen to the last of Simon Mayo and then ease into Mr. Carrington who broadcasts from his home in Scotland.

Desmond Carrington

I'm reading many books, via my Sony Reader. I'm reading the Kay Thompson bio (Larry read that earlier). I'm reading the new Wendy Wasserstein bio. I'm reading some early Nora Ephron books/essays plus I have lots of early classics that I never read or read a LONG time ago and I'm going back to them.

We have no viewing plans this weekend.

Friday morning greetings!  Today we must make Rob's bedroom habitable for his new bride, who's arriving this weekend for her first visit as a member of our family.  She's bringing Keltie, her family's Westie, so I guess we've acquired a grand-dog, too.

Good morning, all!

Around 2:15am this morning, I awoke with acid reflux problems so I took a pill and went back to bed. After tossing for 30 minutes, I decided to get up for a bit, and around 2:45 I poted on HHW that I was wide awake. Ninety minutes later, after playing at the computer and downloading a few links to cast albums and live performances I was sent by a friend, I went back t bed. That was around 4:30, and when the alarm went off at 7, I ignored it. I am now bathed and dressed, unhappy that my scheduled events for the day are screwed up, and fighting headache.

I must go to the NYPL today and see if Pro-Quest has righted itself to let me dig through historical newspapers on line. I'll put offthe laundry I planned to do this morning until tomorrow or Sunday morniing. I really need a nap.

TOD:
DVD: the Netflix items still sit here

TOD:

DVR:
I unhooked my machinery the other week in order to put the TV and all on a new stand. Haven't been able to get my DVD recorder to be able to record from my DVR, which is filling up fast! Of course, this has nothing to do with what I will be watching this weekend.

DVD:
A documentary on the Stonewall riots...either before Stonewall or after Stonewall...I forget which.
