With all due respect to Mr. Haines, if he has enough time to do a new CD and to sing at an event honoring Michelle Nicastro; I would think he would have enough time to drop in here once in a while.  In all of the years I have been posting at HHW, I have yet to chat with Mr. Haines.

Maybe he is one of the 57 guests.

Interesting video on "Morning Joe" about Rob Reiner's reading of 8 on Broadway last night

(Thanks, DR Ben, for the update of when it took place).

Thanks for the link, Ron.  Mr. Reiner is quite an eloquent speaker.

*And even DR elmore made an appearance today. ;) (As some of you who have looked at my Facebook page already know.)

I don't understand how you got that since most of your BFS materials seem to be the 1963 version!

I'm doing something I never imagined I would ever need to do.  I'm calling shelters to see if I can find my missing ex-neighbor.  His family is calling hospitals.  The police have shared the info with the hospitals but the detective told them to call as hospitals tend not to check the database.

Isn't DINER the movie with the you-know-whatzis in the popcorn?

Mickey Rourke in DINER - the popcorn scene
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARvdUBkNoDU

Hmm, maybe that scene is not suitable for work.

What a difference the years have made to Mickey Rourke.

They included the Finale'd 1938 p/v score in the box, and, apparently, some numbers are available in their 1938 version via R&H's concert library.

George, did you ever watch BAYWATCH?  Do you remember the kid who played Hasslehoff's son?  The actor's name was Jeremy Jackson.

On the day that we sailed out of Boston to the Titanic site, they filled, I think it was, two or three display cases with jewelry and other items recovered from the wreck site.  Nobody, including yours truly, even noticed until late that evening; that none of the cases had locks on them or was there anyone guarding them.

Watching Glee--they used the very same arrangement of Ding Dong! The Witch is Dead!  that Barbra and Harold Arlen used.   It was very enjoyable but not comparable to the original.

Sadly, as that thief will find out, there is little chance of ever selling any of the pieces.

Sadly for the thief or because that reduces the chances it won't be found.  Maybe the thief just wants to keep it.

Well that is true.  I am sure that there are collectors out there who would pay a king's ransom for something that came from the Titanic.
