So far, so good. No delays, and people in this Quiet Car are actually being quiet. :)

TOD: I'm disconnected from all but my MP3. Maybe a little "Destry Rides Again" or some Blind Boys of Alabama.

DR Jose,Ron just sent me an email saying he'd put your name on the backstage list and you didn't come back. I just wrote my friend back and said, you didn't tell me so how was he to know? Oy! It's a good thing he's talented because he sure doesn't think much! ;)

DR Elmore, John Duddy looks like an up and comer and I would be more then happy to interview him regardless as to whether he finds work or not. You know me, I am always happy to help.

TOD:

DVD:
Still have a Netflix delivered documentary on Stonewall to watch. I suspect I will continue on my Perry Mason viewing, as well. I am on season 3 right now.

DVR:
This week's SURVIVOR, THE OFFICE and PAN AM. I missed THE PLAYBOY CLUB, but did find that it is on my cable system's ON DEMAND, so I might check it out.

CD:
Have been mostly listening to Hindu bhajans, lately. They have a nice calming effect on me.

DR Elmore, while looking thru Ebay the other day I spotted a publicity shot of your buddy Ron Raines from back in the 1980s. I think it was from his soap.

DR JOhn G I like that you went with the vegetarian dishes last night, sounds like a tasty dinner.

Thank you for the vibes.  Craig landed a few minutes early & was in his hotel before 1:00AM.  I know this because he kindly sent his mother a text.

I'm up - not quite enough sleep.  The Internet went down just after I posted the notes so I called Time Warner and got the recording that they knew the Internet was down (bravo) - I wanted to speak to someone and find out how long, and I was kept on hold for, oh, I don't know forty-minutes before I hung up.  They're supposed to have humans there 24/7 but they kept telling me there was a higher than usual call volume - yeah, right, at one in the morning.

You'd be surprised at how many tech-heads, gamers, Twitterers, eBay-ers, etc. are online at 1:00am.  Just sayin'.

In any case...

Good Afternoon!

Greetings from the Fichlander Green Room!

The rest of my Amtrak trip down to DC was smooth and uneventful and quiet. Alas, it's a-raining here in DC right now.

So...

One of the "highlights" of last night was what happened after the show.

As I was walking out, I happened to be right behind "The Texting Bitch", and could hear her complaining to her companion about how rude it was that "that woman" behind her asked to stop texting during the show. Well...

"Excuse, ma'am, but we both have friends and colleagues on that stage and you were being rude to them."
-No, I wasn't. Besides, she kept talking behind us.
"The only time I noticed her talking was whenever you took out your phone to start texting again. We could all see the light from your phone."
-No, you couldn't. I kept it in my bag.
"You were holding it up to your face."
-No, I wasn't. Besides, I had an emergency.
"Well, if you did have an emergency, then you should have left notice with the house manager, Dixon. And if it was a real emergency you would have left."

That's when she stopped talking.

And now I'm trying to decided whether or not to nap for an hour or so, or try to grab a light bite to eat somewhere. Or some coffee or tea.

Or all of the above.

I am picking cucumbers I didn't ask for and lettuce I didn't ask for out of a tuna sub I didn't order as I sit and ponder the reaction of the person who got my turkey and swiss sub from the Wawa.

Grrrrr...

Bravo, DR Jose! Last night at GUEST OF THE NATION, the lady from Dublin representing the National Concert Hall, where we recorded EILEEN, sat two or three seats from me and texted throughout the entire concert! I wanted to slap the bitch, who should know better.

Ron emailed me and sad that Bryn Terfel went backstage to see him after the show. He didn't mention Bette Midler.

It never fails; like the proverbial day for washing the car, all I have to do is put laundry into a washer and we have a downpour. Another rainy day in New York City.

We took the pooches for a nice walk this morning.  Now I'm doing laundry.

Last night DGC Kitty kept her dinner down but lost her breakfast this morning.  This is surprising as it is canned food, which is has for dinner, and not the dry food she has for breakfast that is a problem.

As a curiosity factor I will probably watch the final episode of All My Children.

I never really watched the show over the years, but final episodes are always fun to watch.

I've been recording it (and a couple of other soaps) for DakotaCelt, so after today's episode(s), I'll send her the discs.

Sounds like what I'd been going through.  FORTUNATELY, I've had two nights with NO loss of Internet connectivity since I got that new splitter on Wednesday!  I can only hope that that really was the problem so that now I can stay connected to the Internet and HHW.
