DR Cillaliz, do you have a favorite on DANCING WITH THE STARS yet?

Not sure who mine is yet. But i have a few contenders.

I like Kristin and Mark.  I still like Hope and Maks. But i was disappointed with her this week. I know she's busy. But she is athletic and has potential. But it didn't seem like she put the time in. Her jive kicks were pretty bad.

Surprisingly i love Carson and Anna. I don't normally like people who aren't very good. But it is obvious that he is completely uncoordinated. Yet he put in the most time to try to do the best he could. I respect that. And he loves it so much and is so fun to watch.

I also sort of like Kym and David.

Undecided about Ricki/Derek and Karina/JR. Both teams are very good. And i like both of the pros. I think these teams could go very far.

Damn! It is horribly humid. I've been to 3 Stone Street and dealt with the MTA folk, and I've. arrived at Toyland with my new Senior Citizen Metrocard, good until 2014.

Nothing's changed here, and since status quo at Toyland is a good thing, I can leave it with a clear conscience.

I've been in touch with my favorite librarians, Loras and Mark, and I guess my DC trip is on schedule.

We are now probably in W I D E S C R E E N.....but just for a few posts.

My question for ASK BK DAY:

What is your favorite opera to listen to?

What is your favorite opera that you have seen?

I'm an opera novice.  I like all of Puccini and Madame Butterfly best.  But I also am a very big fan of American opera and love Robert Ward's The Crucible.  I suppose seen would be Madame Butterfly.

Happy Rosh Hashanah and early Happy Yom Kippur.

Not really supposed to wish someone a "Happy Yom Kippur" :-)
What you say is "Have an easy fast" as Yom Kippur is the day of atonement.

There is a mention with hyperlink for the release of The First Nudie Musical on the Home Theater Form. The poster AHOLLIS is enthused.

I am in our client's Philly office today.  I'm thinking of going out for a walk at lunchtime, but it's so dreary and humid outside.

I actually slept in today. Again. Which was much needed. :)

I also slept on my brother's living room couch last night since the mattress in his spare bedroom has been the culprit of my lower back pain. A lot less twinge-y this morning.

Oh...

It was raining earlier this morning, complete with some thunder and lightning.

Then it stopped for a bit.

Then it started back up again.

Right now, it's bright and sunny outside - and I'm guessing humid (I haven't stepped outside yet) - but there are thunderstorms in the forecast for the rest of the afternoon.

As for last night's "Glee", well...

My brother's DVR/Cable box continues to not record anything, so... I'll catch it online later.

DR elmore - Sounds like getting your Senior Citizen MetroCard was a relatively easy process. I was all set to hear some major tale of an MTA employee's incompetence. ::)

DR elmore - Since I'm dealing with a similar situation right now with BFS, is it possible for you to scan the Eileen materials and just send PDFs to Drew Massey? -Or does he prefer hard copies?

Jose, he's working in small stages but I also have/had a lot of work to be done. Most of it is finished. I now have to wait for the crown to be made and put in and then I have just one more tooth to fix which requires a root canal, the post/prep work, taking the impression and making the crown and then the installation of said crown and then I will be done.

It takes some extra time because every procedure has to be reviewed/OKed by one of the dental faculty who supervises each dental student. Each procedure is also limited to only two hours. Someone else may have the chair scheduled for the next two hour slot so  they try to come to a finishing point each time so you aren't left with problems when you leave.

The school was also closed for 2 weeks in late August, reopening the day after Labor Day so that took away two appointment slots as well.

It's winding down and by Thanksgiving I think I should be finished. Hoo and Ray!

Gotcha.

DR JoseSPiano

Mentloned Seth McFarlane's new cd. I listen to the clips that amazon provided.

Good voice, but I'm hearing Brian The Dog singing which I gather is the closest to Set M's real voice.

He is also releasing it on vinyl!!!

Yep, Seth MacFarlane is Brian the Dog! ;)

*He's been doing some semi-random talk show appearances over the past couple of months as part of the promo of his new album. He'll just show up, sing one song, and leave. He really has a nice, "retro" (in the good sense) voice. -And he's a lot more handsome than Brian too. ;)

As several DRs (especially DR Kerry - thank you for your message) requested them, here are a few photos of my Istanbul trip.

I'm having trouble loading them all in the same post so will send the rest separately.
