We also saw Phantom in Los Angeles, when DR Sandra was six. I'm sure I told that story.

DR Laura I know you don't "do" movie theatres but it may be worth your while to make an exception in this case --- there is suppose to be an "encore" performance

I wonder why Tacoma never has a theater on this list.  Kent, Auburn, and Monroe - Yes.  Tacoma - Nada!

I'll look for the dvd.

Laura, you saw PHANTOM in Vegas didn't you?

Yes, I did, TCB. A friend of mine is in the cast.

The WSMA?

By the way, Jose, Aunt Pearl is the fourth of thirteen children, and she is now 106. Sandra's grandmother is number eleven. Two infants died.

No, not him, TCB. I only found my friend in one scene, because I couldn't recognize him with all those costumes.

Although I did meet the WSMA once and we had a brief, but thrilling, conversation.

I always thought that POTO ran a little too long.  That is why I thought the Vegas PHANTOM was nearly perfect at 93 minutes.  Everything was still included, but they just eliminated all of the extra verses of a lot of the songs (the half hour MASQUERADE).  I wonder if I will be bored seeing the longer version again.

Ok, I added a pair of tan dockers and another shirt into my suitcase. Then I decided to removed 3 t-shirts. I had way too many packed.

I had planned to see the Phantom show today. I thought it was playing this evening but instead it was at 2pm. I did buy a ticket for the replay on Oct 11th in the evening

I'm watching "Return To Me" with Minnie Driver, David Duchovny and Bonnie Hunt.  I didn't realize that Bonnie Hunt also directed and co-wrote it!  It's a very sweet movie.

Have fun DR PENNY O and DR ELMORE!

It was a fantastic 2-hour non-stop event! I'm now working on getting Miss PennyO an audition for our Appalachian Christmas show; we need a fierce matriarch, and I think our DR PennyO would be FIERCE!

DR Laura - Thank You!

I shall share it with everyone in the green room later and at the party.

:)

You're welcome. I thought about it several times, but I didn't get it taken out of the frame and scanned until today.

DR Laura - Your timing was quite perfect.

Well, what I saw of PROHIBITION was interesting, but I slept through a lot of it.  Ken Burns has that effect on me...

PROHIBITION is going to talk about Sioux City at some point.  A Methodist minister who was big on temperance was shot dead in the street and the accused was found not guilty...then he had his photo taken with the jury.

Here's a story about it from today's paper  http://www.siouxcityjournal.com/news/local/crime-and-courts/article_f3c41279-0c0d-5c97-b98b-ffe9dde66e0a.html

I'm also doing my laundry.  I've nearly finished painting the gazebo.  I've had the screens out all summer and decided today to take the screen door off as well.  They really only provide a place for the spiders to make webs and it isn't really inviting.  I like the open feeling much better and I think it will be a lot easier to take care of.  The door would trap the water and the floor had rotted a little. I had that repaired, but without the door on, the water will just run out.
