Oh...
Last night's taping of "The Colbert Report" was quite amazing. There was a really good vibe and energy in the audience, and Stephen Colbert was really on his game too. He does a Q&A with the audience beforehand - out of character - and I was the first one he picked to be asked by.

Or something like that.
"Now that you've tackled "Larry" in
Company, which Sondheim role would you like to tackle next. Male or Female?"
Right off the bat, he corrected me, "I played Harry, not Larry." Duh! Then he said that that whole process really took it out of him. However, he said he would love to take a crack at Pseudolus in
Forum one day.
Last night's guest was Lieutenant Colonel Jason Amerine who discussed the early days of the war in Afghanistan. And even though there were a few moments interjected in there, it turned out to be quite an informative, sobering and moving interview. His account of the first days of the U.S. involvement in Afghanistan
10 year ago today, well... I and the rest of the audience had nothing but admiration and gratitude for him and his troops.
