DR JMK, as hard as I have tried, I never became a fan of THE RIFLEMAN tv series....even when Joan Taylor was in the cast (I like Joan Taylor).

It isn't that I disliked any of these shows, it was just that with adding THE JACK BENNY PROGRAM and KRAFT SUSPENSE THEATRE to my recordings, I was simply watching TOO MUCH tv and thus getting nothing else done while I was at home.

I will stick with the remaining season of THE CLOSER, and I still watch MODERN FAMILY and THE OFFICE and this season's THE AMAZING RACE. Also holding onto this season's SURVIVOR, as it is a pretty entertaining one, for a change.

Will likely not watch this season of SOUTHLAND.

Just to be clear - the TV movie sequel to Rosemary's Baby had nothing to do with Ira Levin.  His sequel was written back in 2000 or thereabouts.  Most people really didn't like Son of Rosemary, but I enjoyed it just because I enjoy his writing so much.  It wasn't confusing to me, because I "got" where it was going the minute he mentioned a certain film she was watching on TV.

JMK - somersault, because soul master is really two words, although so is roast mules, but I think he says it should anagram out to one word.

There is the oddest rattling sound on the right channel of only the LOST HORIZON cuts from this new Bacharach CD I got, as if someone was violently shaking the studio door trying to escape.  :)

I think I am the only person in the world who has not seen the film ROSEMARY'S BABY.

I believe it was remade as a Bollywood film, ROSEMARY'S BABU.

Today's menu: Baked beans and fried tomatoes on toast for breakfast; ham and cheese panini for lunch and spaghetti bolognaise for this evening. I hope that meets with approval.

I watched about 30 minutes of ESPN's coverage of the Penn State mess while I ate my lunch and found it sad and depressing.  Then, when I returned to my computer I found this perfect antidote:

And now that I'm starting NOT to see white flashes ;) I'm going to head out for a bit.

*Interesting storm warning for SoCal right now.  Apparently some major system could be moving in over the area this weekend.

Dear BK,

Today I was in the car listening to the news on the radio. They were blathering on about Dancing With the Stars and about Nancy and such as. Why in the world does reality television get top billing on the news?

From DR Laura:
Quote
Jane: Electric blanket.

Years ago I forced myself to stop using electric blankets, they aren't all that safe & I read they mess with ones system.  I think it is true as once I stopped using the electric blanket I wasn't as cold as I had been, still cold but not as bad.

From DR cilla:
Quote
Do you have a down comforter? I have mine under a quilt and it's really warm and toasty

Yes and we put a second one on top of it last night.  It was difficult to move though.  This morning Keith figured out how to get the heat back on in our bedroom.  He just returned home with a couple of portable heaters for our offices and with luck we shall have a new heating system installed on Friday.

And who are you and your mom cheering for?

I am happy with the final 4. I really like JR/Karina. But i also really like Derek/Ricki.

My niece and her husband are in LA for the launch of the new video game that the company they work for makes.

They had a big party at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel on Olympic last night at Wolfgang Puck's restaurant and then a concert by Jane's Addiction.....fun!   ;D

Bethesda Games is owned by Linda Carter (Wonder Woman) and her husband who are both very nice people, and nice people to work for.  ;D

Sounds like fun.  What is the game?

I admit CASTLE had a slow beginning this season but it has gotten good again.
