Jose, regarding LA weather, remember that it IS November. The cold, rainy weather of last Sunday is usually as cold as it gets here.

I watched the first half of the Macy's Parade on NBC.  It was interesting to me, that of all the Broadway actors, singers, and dancers who performed today;  I thought that Daniel Radcliffe looked like he was having the best time.  Even more than the late 20's NEWSIES.

I think I slept through NEWSIES the movie.

The last time I posted here I believe I mentioned all the crapola that's been going on. Ever since last spring it's been one thing after another. I think the only thing that HASN'T given me problems has been my toaster. Lots of trouble with my car. I'd been taking it to the dealer, who has been spectacularly unsuccessful at diagnosing it. It's now at an independent garage in Santa Monica, while I drive one of their loaners. This loaner could be euphemisticly described as "basic transportation." But it runs. The odometer reads 90,000 miles, but I think it's really 190,000--there just wasn't room for another digit. In any case, the owner of said garage is a Japanese man, who couldn't have been nicer about helping me. He even let me take the loaner almost a week early, because I was afraid of a breakdown. To Mr Kondo, my thanks.

I saw the post from DR DOUG about all his mechanical breakdowns. Ugh! I'm glad they are resolving themselves.

Thanks, too, to DR DOUG for the photos of London streets. I've never been to London at Christmas, so I especially enjoyed seeing that. What street is it!

DR Jeanne: Glad you liked the photo. That was London's main shopping street, Oxford Street.

You're not my sister are you? She has the same name  ;D

I set up the National Dog Show to record after learning a Bernese Mountain Dog won best working dog.  This is a first.

DR Jane - Thanks for the reminder. My friend's Rhodesian Ridgeback made the broadcast this year.

Nice.  What is the dog's name?  I'll watch for it.

Jose, earlier in the week, they were worried that wind conditions today might ground the balloons, but the storm moved out to sea last night.

Gotcha. It did look like the bad weather made a fast exit.

Good question. I think Kristy's mother is prepping the dressing. I hope.
