Greetings from Miami University's King Library!  Richard is trying to find a parking space that won't earn us a ticket.

Where has Dan the Man been lately?

I have asked this a couple of times, and no one has ever responded. Does anyone know him on Facebook?

I left you a message on Facebook.

DR Elmore - shall I go to the 3rd floor and ask to see the Moore collection?

Today and tomorrow and then I'm off until January 3rd.

I have my performance evaluation today, plus I have to finish as much work as I can so I can leave on Wednesday afternoon with as clean a desk as possible. Then I have a dentist appointment at 4pm and then I'm reading for my friend's playwrighting class from 8pm until 10pm.

T'will be a long day.

And when you go back to work, I will be retired.

People in the Picture ordered.

No more shopping for me under next year.

Oh, wait, I still have to buy some anchovies for one present. Then I'm done.

John, if the anchovies were a present for me - don't worry about it.

I had a nice day with a good work out at the gym & a nice hike.

After our hike we stopped to do an errand & ran into our neighbor who can be very frustrating at times.  He is always pleasant & friendly the problem for us is his attitude towards situations.

For years we have watched him race his lab up and down our road at full speed while he, or his son, ride the ATV. The guy was shocked when the dog didn't pass his 2 year old hip x-rays that were required before he could breed the dog.  Now the dog has something wrong with the shoulder that could be serious but he won't x-ray because if it is serious he isn't amputating.  Instead he is medicating, for what I haven't a clue.  Then he says, well these gun dogs have lots of shoulder problems.  I'm sure most hunters don't make a habit of running their dogs full speed up & down a long hill twice a day.

End of rant.

Been another long day. Two more suppers, but the amazing thing was that in the midst of dinner no. 2 tonight, I encountered a dish that was so good, it made me sit up and take notice. I'm not as jaded about this, even as we near the end of the book. What a beautiful feeling that was. And for those who care, it was perfectly fried hamachi kama, or tuna cheek, at the second of my Japanese meals tonight.

On the flip side, this morning I went to a pretty little coffee bar and everything I had was horrible right down to the ginger tea that was so sweet I couldn't drink it. Blech. And all the baked goods were day-old and not better than a box mix.

Got a disc of Charles Ives sonatas from the library and I can't stop listening to it. It's surprisingly inspirational as I sit here and type and type.

Well, it seems that Lola, the dog next door, is enjoying an evening outside.  And is telling everyone about it.

It's been a trying evening: a project is on hiatus until we can see how grisly the budget, which keeps growing like the national debt, for ROBERTA turns out.

I am not happy, the copyists are not happy, and the Man from Philsdelphia is not happy, Crap!
