I've been on the computer a bit less lately, I set up the new computer at a desk in the livingroom, It's not as convenient as the laptop in the recliner so I tend to get more done. Now I'm in the recliner with the laptop, lol. It's so much more comfortable

Cillaliz, we turned off the ringer on our phone and turned the ringer on the handset to very low. We can hear the messages as they come in, though. I suggest The Drinking Game.

I was going to say Brenda Benet, but I wasn't sure everyone would know who she was.

Brenda Benet was married to Bill Bixby, but I believe they were separated. She was appearing on Days Of Lour Lives. Their son died tragically. Shortly afterwards she committed suicide.

Did I mention that I'm going to see "An Evening With Garrison Keillor" on Thursday? I'm very excited about it. I'll be in the third row center and have a ticket to the pre-show reception. don't know if he'll be at the reception, but I'm hoping he is. If so, i'll try to get a photo. I've see A Prairie Home Companion in person, but this isn't Prairie Home, just Garrison. It should be a delightful evening

Good Evening!

So... My flight out of Long Beach leaves at 7:00am tomorrow. Of course, since the airport shuttle services insists(!) on getting you to the airport two hours early, they are picking me up at 4:15am. UGH! First of all, LGB is truly a small airport. Second of all, I don't think they open the terminal until 6:00am. I'll be getting there around 5:00am. Oy!

But I'm all set to go to San Francisco tomorrow morning!

In any case...

When I headed out earlier, I hopped on the 780 Metro Rapid Bus to Hollywood. I got off at Hollywood and Vine, and then walked down to Sunset to the Arclight to purchase a ticket to "Hugo". Since I had almost two hours to kill, I walked up to Umami Burger for their signature Umami Burger and some onion rings.

Then since I still had a bit more time before my movie, I walked up to Hollywood, down to La Brea - past the premier for "New Year's Eve" - down La Brea - and then back around to Sunset. It was a nice lap.

As for "Hugo" - or "Hugo Cabret" as it was listed on my ticket - I loved it. A beautiful and magical movie. I went in knowing nothing about it except that it had been received some praise from the critics. *And while watching the movie, I realized why the commercials for the movie don't really tell you much about the movie - and that's a good thing.

I caught it in 3-D and found the 3-D effects used for all the right reasons. It was not gimmicky, it was not intrusive. It truly added some depth and dimension to the film.
