That sounds about the same.  I thought with the regular Nook you download to your computer first.

You can, but you don't have to.

Druxy's former client Gigi Perreau has a nice color pic in the 1961-62 Fall Preview issue of TV Guide.

Are minister's wives allowed to swear?

;D

Well, I guess we know what I'll be atoning for next Sunday!

Synanon arrived at my house today.

My copy arrived here at work today, too! :D I bought some CDs from www.soundofmusic-shop.de that also arrived today: the international cast recording of Evita with Florence Lacey (I saw her in the national tour in Seattle!), and the German cast recordings of both Cabaret and Into the Woods. ;D

I forgot to mention the goggles worked great!  I swam for about an hour staying in the lap lanes the entire time.  It is still difficult for me to turn my head to breathe, as much now due to my left shoulder as my right one.  I stop about half way, where the water is shallow enough to stand, catch some air & continue on.

I need ear plugs that make me deaf, combine that with goggles vs glasses & I have to keep asking people to tell me the time.  Since I can't always hear their response I need them to indicate using their fingers.  It is rather embarrassing.  Don't suggest I take out the ear plug.  I did that today & once wet it doesn't fit back in as well.  I never used to be bothered by water in my ears. ::)

Ate a turkey sandwich and onion rings for lunch, did my banking, picked up a couple of packages, and then had the first of our four work sessions.  The singer did this first show for me in its entirety.  She's very talented, but I thought the show was not well-ordered or thought out, with many confusing things.  So, I took notes and then went over them with her and she agreed with all of them and is willing to do the work necessary to restructure and fix, so that will happen over a week in January and then she'll try out the new version at the Gardenia.  Tomorrow they'll do show two for me and it will be the same kind of situation.

Yes...it was called Disturbia.

I've fnally finished "Hot spot" the first of the ROBERTA reconstructions, watched THE CLOSER, and read the booklet for the new Paragon Ragtime Orchestra recording of TREEMONISHA. Much as I admire a lot of their leader Rick Benjamn's work, I sure find a lot of his theories on theatre orchestration from the late 1880s through the 1920s a lot of cockamamie. He constantly confuses the tiny palm court orchestrations for 10-12 players the real mccoy, and he misses the authentic theatre orchestrations sitting in archive at the NYPL, the Museumof the city of New York, the Amherst Library and other places.

He should read Russell Bennett's "Instrumentally Speaking" and learn a few things.

This was our tenth anniversary of knowing each other.  It was right around this time that she first IMd me, thanks to dear reader Jane.  Tomorrow's notes will be dedicated to her.

Horrible news.  I had many, many wonderful phone conversations and emails with her over the years.  I hope her husband and kids are OK.
