As for the Patti & Mandy show...

Well...

I loved it.

In fact, I was moved to tears a few times throughout the evening. It's beautifully put together with songs acting as set-ups for other songs - sometime quite unexpectedly, and then each act featuring an extended sequence from an R&H show, South Pacific in the first act, Carousel in the second act. Yes, the vocal qualities of either singer may not be to everyone's liking - and tonight was the first time that I could actually detect more than a hint of "age" in Mandy's voice - but you could tell that they really loved each other, loved working with each other, and, most importantly, that they loved the material they chose for the evening, the composers, the lyricists, the authors.

*Patti was also dealing with a cough/cold tonight - and it was fascinating(?) watching and listening to her adjust her vocal technique to sing "over" it. Very impressive.

And then after the show, Yosh and I went to Elsewhere for a post-show meal: Apple-Cider Cinnamon Popcorn, Poutine, Grilled Octopus Salad, and a Pumpkin Ice Cream-Caramel Ice Cream Sandwich paired with a glass of White Port. Wonderful!

That's great, Jose!  I wonder if it'll be recorded. :D

Doesn't it have to do with the line about the Seagram's building and how Bobby is someone who he thinks should drink more?

It actually refers to the fact that the Seagram's Building was constructed of materials that allowed someone inside the building to look out, however, those outside could/can not look in.

Well, that actually makes a lot of sense.
