I'm watching "New Year's Eve with Guy Lombardo" on public TV. Not sure what year it's from the guide just says "vintage"

Off for a quick shower.... I'll be back. Very glad I stayed home tongiht. I watched Bridesmaids. It wasn't what I expected it to be. I also saw The Decendants this afternoon. I enjoyed it.

I just watched BEACHES. I was so impressed with THE PEOPLE IN THE PICTURE that I looked up Iris Rainer/Rainier (two spellings) Dart. The book may have been good, but I found the movie weak. Perhaps it was only intended to be a vehicle for Bette Midler.

Oh... "Beaches". The book is better, but the movie is it's own thing. And for me, it's a very special thing. Lots of good emotional "baggage" with the movie for me. -Although, it still kind of pisses me off that "The Glory of Love" does not the end the way it does on the soundtrack. Then, again, that probably would have meant that I would have cried even more than I did. And still do at times.
