No, Slim Margin was a famous noir.

And I still use Encore to nutate.

Now, I'm beginning to think some dear readers aren't reading all the posts or the notes, because only about six people have sent their addresses to receive a special haineshisway.com gift.  Now, if that's all that want said gift, fine.  But I won't have any bellyaching when people read about what it is and then suddenly decide to send their addresses.  Send them NOW or forever hold either your peace or your piece.

Oops. I always read the notes but missed that. I think I sometimes read too quickly. email sent!

Can you specify which day's notes and which posts? I try to read everything and did not see anything mentioned. :(

He's mentioned it twice (not including today) that I can think of.

And here are the other two times, the first on December 30, 2011 and the second on January 1, 2012

Back from various and sundried things - had some matzo brei, did a two-mile jog rather than four, picked up some packages and no important envelope, which will hopefully be here tomorrow with some other packages.  So, one of the packages contains a little something for you dear readers - therefore, you'll need to send your addresses to me at kritzerland at gmail dot com - even if you think I have it, send it anyway.

And if dear readers have not sent me their addresses, please do so to kritzerland at gmail dot com.

Wednesday morning greetings!  Oh, my, I slept until 10am - must have been exhausted from Michigan's overtime victory in the Sugar Bowl.

My day at Toyland is over. Now for a No 7 bus and I hope the wait in the cold isn't too long. The No 7 arrives at whim.

Finished the lovely Fleming CAPRICCIO but can't upload my review due to a site glitch.  So am now working on choral arrangements.  No rest for the weary and/or wicked.

Yes, mentioned twice in posts and once in the notes.  And yes, you must send the addresses to the kritzerland e-mail address - a couple of folks have sent them here but that does me no good.  Please send again to the kritzerland at gmail dot com address.

Headline on Google says:  Romney Takes Iowa by Slim Margin.

Wasn't Slim Margin a Henry Willson client back in the late 1950's?

Slim and Crunch Crackers were sold out to CONFIDENTIAL.

The inglorious end to a couple of promising careers.

My question for ASK BK Day:

Is there one classic actor or actress that makes you avoid movies.....even if you like the others in the film.....your antipathy toward said actor/actress keeps you away from any film featuring him/her?

The notes made me think of this question......because while there are a few for me.....past and present......Mr Burgess Meredith is on my list!

There are many actors of today who can keep me away from films, but I can't think of many who could keep me away from an older film.

After witnessing BELLE STARR last night, I might avoid the films of Miss Gene Tierney for a while.

Good morning, all! The weather has finally dropped asnd it's beginning to look like Christmas. Much as I am enjoying the cold weather, I wish to go out into it not in the least. That said, I must needs make a trek to Toyland this morning and check on the office. That's my only errand of the day.

When I return, I will continue playing with unlauts and other diacritical marks, and ponder my notes on 102 songs written by Victor Herbert between 1888 and 1924. Life is too tnrilling.

I'm digging the now-winter-like weather too. But, as DR Dan (the Man) mentioned, we're already at the start of a warming trend. It's supposed to be back up in the 50's by this weekend here in Richmond.

That was NOT Miss Gene's finest hour to be sure......but the color was pretty.

OK... And since the clock has just struck 1:00pm here on the East Coast, that's my signal to buckle-down-winsocki for a bit and get some work done around here.

Speaking of the warm weather--I've been meaning to mention that the yellow rosebush in my front yard has put out at least ten blooms since the fall (I brought in two just this week.)  Whenever I see a bud that's about to burst, I snip it off and bring it inside to open.  Very strange to have roses this time of year...
