I only agree with him in his decision that Sondheim is vastly overdone!

Oh, Happy Anniversary, Lady! I already"liked" it on Facebook.

From Crabby who meant to say something earlier and who is too stressed out.

So is Rodgers and Hammerstein. So is ALW. I don't think that means every Chicago theater needs to stage "Seesaw," but what shows/writers would you like to see staged more often?

The only Kander and Ebb we get here in San Antonio is the umpteenth staging of "Chicago," which, admittedly sold out every performance over Christmas at a theater that often has trouble filling half of its seats.

We got "Once on This Island," but not "Lucky Stiff," "The Glorious Ones," "Dessa Rose" or "A Man of No Importance" from Flaherty and Ahrens.

We get "Dolly" and "Mame" every third year, but not "The Grand Tour" or "Mack and Mabel."

I went ahead and ordered a used copy of Titanic Remembered: 1912-2012.......so we will see if it actually arrives.

I'm guessing they might forget.

Bruce:  The discography sounds like a "must" to me, but I would be remiss if I didn't suggest to you that you also include recording sessions for albums that did not get finished by you.  Indicate what the concept was and how far you got in each album.  Folks should know what to credit and what to discredit on those albums that were released without your supervision.

One desert island disc I'd require would be "Cinderella".

Yesterday's final day of the Amy Murphy Broadway Intensive went very well. And the party went very well. And two glasses of champagne and a rum and coke later...

I slept very well.  ::)

Portland drivers are insane.  I walked Zach to the snow route bus stop, and he was busy making a snowman, bent over so he wasn't looking, but he was up on the sidewalk, and some IDIOT came careening through the intersection on a left turn, going about 40 MPH, lost control of his car and came skidding right up over the sidewalk and smashed into a metal fence about 2 inches (I kid you not) from Zach.  Some of you know the story of me watching Gabe get hit by an IDIOT when were picnicking in a park years ago, so this was a little too much deja vu for my taste.

So...

Where do we stand on a possible HHW meet-up this Saturday?

Just in case, probably best to message me here with a Yay or Nay, and restaurant suggestions. I was thinking Landarc in the Time-Warner Center at Columbus Circle.

Woo and hoo. Not only did Edith ace her interview, but they are doing a swearing in ceremony today! She was so excited when she called.
