I actually didn't see some of the BIG classics (like the Janus Films stuff) until I took a Film Theory class in college (my Prof was Vivian Sobchack, who's now in charge at UCLA).  That was the first time I saw stuff like Kane, 8 1/2, the Bergman stuff, etc.  Those just weren't broadcast in SLC when I was growing up, maybe times have changed.

My mini musical opens tonight.  I have heard that the cast is having a hard time counting in 7.  :)

And I woke up to an inbox FULL of shipping notifications from one of the studios who must have done something wrong at UPS which resulted in me getting sent EVERY shipping notification to EVERY reviewer worldwide.  When I told them, they asked me to forward them all back to them.  That took quite a while.  Oy, oy.

If any DRs are thinking of heading down to DC to catch The Music Man at Arena Stage, some performances in May and June just popped up on Goldstar:

So, I haven't received grades from last semester.

The instructor of one class has left for another university, the other was retired. (I know the latter did submit my grade.)

My new classes are not listed in my academic schedule, but are listed in my enrollment schedule.

My guaranteed student loans have not been applied, but no one has asked me for money.

My instructor, whom I have for both courses, has not replied to e-mails.

Strange, no?

TOD:

When I was growing up in the mid ‘50s, the first major film sale to TV in the UK was a big package of RKO films to the BBC. The films were frequently repeated and through those showings I became familiar with and fond of a host of ‘40s and ‘50s stars such as Cary Grant, James Stewart, Ingrid Bergman, Robert Mitchum, Robert Ryan, John Wayne and Katherine Hepburn, and films such as Citizen Kane, Bringing up Baby, Angel Face, Suspicion, Notorious, The Bells of St Marys, The Best Years of our Lives, It’s a Wonderful Life, Murder, My Sweet, She Wore a Yellow Ribbon, King Kong, Back to Bataan, Alice Adams and the Fred Astaire/Ginger Rogers musicals.

Thursday morning greetings!  Our electrician was here promptly at 8am to install a new outlet in preparation for tomorrow's delivery of our new washer and dryer.

Don't forget a new dryer vent & washer hose if it has been awhile since they were replaced.
