I couldn't sleep most of last night listening to the rain.  The road guy is working on the road anyway.  It would have been better if the ground were dryer.

I got a weird note finally from my instructor, who said my name had not been placed on her roster. But she sees that I am registered for two studies with her, so I guess we're on.

I am still enjoying my new machines.  I hope you are very happy with yours.

My appliance philosophy is "the simpler, the better."  I don't want a lot of bells and whistles and fancy features.  We bought pretty basic machines and I'll let you know how Richard likes them - he, by choice, does most of the laundry in our household.

It is getting more difficult to find standard machines.  I chose mine as they had the easiest doors & lids to open, plus the dryer was easier to get into.

Is this any way to run a railroad?

For much of the first part of our trip it rained, as you can see in this photo by the lack of color.

We took a rather unexciting trip down the river with a jeep ride through flower "plantations" back to the dock.  To get there we passed a number of these black pearl shacks/homes.  When we went on our Baltic cruise everywhere we went they were selling amber, this cruise it was black pearls.  We learned a lot about these beautiful pearls & yes I did get a necklace.

The oysters that house the black pearls are the most pampered oysters in the world so I didn't feel bad about getting a pearl.

When I did my standup last year for Betsy's group, I joked about our boys' athleticism and how they obviously didn't inherit it from me, as the only exercise I ever got was running from kids who were chasing me for knowing what the subjunctive was.  :)

I am really liking the hidden game in my kindle called GoMoKu. I'd never heard of it before.  The first day I was annoyed with it. Because the computer you play against is a genius. And it never makes mistakes. But I found 2 moves you can do at the beginning to have a great chance to win. So now I am beating the computer more than it is beating me!

I always laughed at those people playing games on their Iphones or whatever. And now it is me!

Two CDs to go! My mind is fried.

I'm now putting down the liner notes and proofreading the new copy of "The Pipes of Pansy." Dinner first.

Early this morning I couldn't sleep & opened my Nook to read.  The book I was reading now says ""Error Dialog.  User not activated"  Then I have to click ok to remove it.  Has anyone experienced this before?

I don't mind about the book since it is boring & I only returned to it as I have finished reading THE PERFECT HUSBAND.  Perfect really should be in quotes on this one. ;)

The "error dialog" book is from the library, however, it is not due yet & still available on my computer.

Makes me want to listen to that score again. It's been awhile. Love Harold Rome's music.

Robert Hegyes , who played Epstein on "Welcome Back, Kotter", has died at age 60.

Is that the third in so many days?

Good Evening!

Well... I ended up having a slightly more productive afternoon than planned. -And that included an impromptu meeting about an upcoming event which, I guess, I am now officially a part of. :)

Good morning, all! I slept rather well; I remember one long dream involving (I think) Columbus Circle and the song "Let's Begin" from ROBERTA, and another about staging a scene for a film in a room like a library reading room with some of the cast of the Appalachian Christmas show. Lod knows what it all means.

This morning, I have to run some DEAREST ENEMY errands; I'll leave here around 10am and head down to Union Square. On my way home, I'll stop at Toyland to check out the office. In the meantime, I've got notes on 70 songs to write.

More coffee!
