I'm confirmed for a segment on Radio Wales this afternoon (evening in Wales)

BBC Beverley's World of Music

I don't know what time the segment will air but it will be on. You can listen live (it's a 2 hour program now beginning at 4pm EST) or use the iPlayer tomorrow through next Sunday. I'll send out the e-mail after the broadcast with info about how and where, etc.

All of the "Stars" of NBC just did a very clever "Brotherhood of Man" promo for their network.

The first draft of the liner notes, all 9,780 words, is finished.

That's about 97 words per song.

Sunday afternoon greetings!  We are back from Lima after a very foggy early morning drive up and a clear, sunny drive back.  On the way into town we stopped at the torn-up Kroger for Richard to pick up a prescription.  It's even more of a mess than it was on Monday and it was super (Bowl) busy!  Just picked up a few things and got out of there as fast as we could.

Oh, DR TCB, for the record, the white wine at last night's dinner was my Mother's request.  I'm sure she had Scotch before she went to bed.

Listening to DR Ben's friend Beverley's show.  The Puppy Bowl is on TV.  I'm glancing up every once in a while.   But I really have to get busy --there's much to be done: laundry, sorting and organizing (don't want the Hoarders people to show up).

Since I loathe and detest football, I guess I will spend the evening watching Doris Day and Gordon Macrae movies. I didn't make the WOMAN IN BLACK/ONE FOR THE MONEYduo today, so I'll stay in.

Hey, Kevin, glad to hear you're listening! The show is new and it's a replacement for Showtime which used to be on Saturday afternoon at 5pm (EST) 10PM Wales Time. She plays a broader mix of music now from classical to show tunes. Some things have changed regarding how I get my reviews to her so there is a much better chance that I will appear on the show with more frequency. It had been very spotty for quite a while but now I'll be notified when I have a segment coming up so I can listen and notify interested friends. I'm even supposed to have my own jingle to introduce the segment. Don't know if that will happen with today's broadcast. I'm excited!!!

My spot will be a quick overview of what's left in the upcoming Broadway musical season. It will be about 2 minutes long.

Oh, My!!! I'm very happy and proud of the segment. The new producer has done a great job and I have my own Radio Wales Tag Line!!! I'm about 43 minutes into the program. It's very different from the old way and it's just great!

I should have another review or two in the next few weeks.

Thanks, Elmore, for the note on Mahagony coming out DVD. I remember seeing that in high school and loving it. One of those mind-warping experiences for someone who had never encountered Brecht or Weill before. Can't wait to see it again.

Of course!  Wasn't that a Diana Ross film?

When I heard that Mahogany (the film) with Diana Ross was opening I thought, WTF, Diana Ross is doing Brecht and Weill. I soon realized my error.

The first play I did in college was Bertolt Brecht's GALILEO.  As a freshman, I played one of the pillar cariers in the show, only because there were no spear carriers roles in our production.  My drama professor (and the director of that prodcution) is a Facebook friend of mine; as is his wife, who was my college girlfriend.

It is beautiful out today.  For the first time in a long while we took Sherlock for a walk in town.  I'm glad I decided to stop to pick up a little chocolate cake I like.  Our favorite waiter came up to say hello to Sherlock & tell us he is moving to Portland next month.   We would have wondered what happened to him.

Since my friend, Andrei, wants to watch the March of the Ducks at The Peabody Hotel.. And since the Ducks march at 5:00, it's time for me to mosey on over there.
