Happy Birthday, Arizona! One Hundred Years Old!

A Very Happy Birthday to Dear State Arizona!! ;D

I was living in Colorado at the time of its centennial and the country's bicentennial in 1976.  I remember that they had this huge scroll and everyone who was there could sign it.  It was going to be put in a time capsule at the top of Pike's Peak and opened in 2076, at Colorado's bicentennial.

I signed it five times. :D

Mormons apologize for posthumous Jewish baptism.

I remember reading that Mormons had posthumously baptized other historical people, such as Anne Frank and even Adolph Hitler! :o

I watched the last half hour of SMASH last night - and it was okay.  As DR JOSE wrote to appease me - the songs are very Broadway NOW - although I think they are really BETTER than what I hear on some CD's from some of the shows I hear today.

I used to buy CAST ALBUMS just because I wanted the Broadway experience - but having been burned SO many times in the last 10 years or so - FLOYD COLLINS, IN THE HEIGHTS, THE LAST FIVE YEARS, RENT - I rarely bother anymore.  And if a composer whose work that I didn't like the first time does a "new" show - I still let it be......JRB I am talking to you.

When I bought CAST ALBUM LP's, I could usually find something I liked.....GOLDEN RAINBOW, MAN WITH A LOAD OF MISCHIEF....but no so much with the new CD's.

In other words....I may stick with SMASH in spite of DM.

Dean Martin is in SMASH?  Then shouldn't it be called SMASHED?

I thought he was referring to Dinah Manoff.

Maybe it was Dina Merrill. ;)

Or possibly Donny/Marie.

DR John can you take something to relax your muscles, or all of you?  Recovery always takes longer than we like.

Gin?
Bourbon. I wish.

I don't think I should yet. I really only take aspirin and occasionally, but when the IVs were taken out of my hands, the nurse commented on how thin my blood was. Blech.

So, I'm taking brussels sprouts instead.

The little buddy I used to take out on Adventures is a Mormon. One night he told me he had to get back in time for the baptism for the dead, in which  he was taking part. I told him if he baptized me after I'm dead, I will haunt him.

According to Accuweather, we still have a 50 percent chance for more rain tonight. Add that to the 0.0 inches we've had so far.

Beau Bridges is wonderful.  I saw him in the show when Darren Criss was in it.

Is there one more "Downton Abbey" episode this season? Or was this week's the last? Anybody now?

There are 8 this season.  I've been watching the UK version from iTunes and I just got the 7 and 8 on Monday.  I don't know about PBS, but if you count, there should be 8

And personally, I don't know how I'm going to make it until next Fall for Season Three of "Downton Abbey" it's like crack.  Not that I'd know what crack is like, but... whatever.
