Whew.  Saturday is usually a work day, but yesterday afternoon about 4 o'clock - I got VERY sick....feverish and clammy....lots of muscle pain.....My sister told me to go home.

And later my sister Molly called me to tell me that she would work for me today, if I wanted her to.  SO I SAID YES.

I am feeling better today - but it's still not good.  Not sure what this is....but I never want it again.  I have to lie down.

Not good.  I'm glad you didn't have to work today.

BE WELL VIBES!!!

How is Sherlock today, Jane?

Thank you for asking.  His temp has stayed normal.  During the day he seems fine, it is at night that he becomes restless, is up & down & can't settle comfortably.  Last night we put the mattress from our murphy bed in front of the dining room table & left the sliding door to the deck open to keep the house cool.  Sherlock stretched out between us and slept with us all night.

Even though there wasn't room on the small queen mattress for Keith & I to move we slept rather well for us.  Poor Keith was exhausted with Sherlock keeping him up every night most of the week.

Back from my errands - post office, public library, bank.  Richard called just as I arrived home to tell me he's on his way from Wisconsin - a day early  ;D

Did a two-mile jog, had a waffle and matzo brei and am awaiting the arrival of a singer to get her stuff, after which I'll go do a few things.

Hello, everyone.

Jane, I am so sorry to hear about Sherlock!! What a blow! You seem to be handling the news quite well. I hope that it proves to be not a serious as it appears and he weathers the storm.

TOD:

I'm currently reading one of Laurie King's Sherlock Holmes/Mary Russell novels, so it's no surprise that Mary Russell comes to mind. I really do like this character. There is soooo much dumbing down these days, which I deplore, and then there's Mary Russell: a charming young woman, an Oxford scholar, and even able to keep up with Sherlock Holmes.  Thank you, Laurie King!

And also shooing her "cardiac rehab" partner from the basement.

LOL, you two give me credit for being far more interesting than I am.  What I'm really doing is watching Boardwalk Empire and knitting.

Happy Birthday to Keith. Glad he got some sleep. Hope Sherlock has a good day and night.

Thank you.  We took Sherlock for a short walk in town before meeting Craig at a restaurant for lunch.  Now Keith is mowing the lawn.  Sherlock enjoyed Keith's birthday very much.  The outdoor tables weren't set up yet and they suggested we eat in the hotel lobby which is attached to the restaurant.  Sherlock was very comfortable there, much more than we were balancing our food. ;D
