This is what it looked like in 2007 when we were building the Rehearsal Center- the door at the top of the steps is where the door on the RIGHT of the old barn was.  ;D

Greetings from Toyland!

My SS visit was too early;I'd been either misinformed last year or I misunderstood. I can't do anything about registering until 3 months before my birthday, so I have to book an appointment for around June 19 to register. I liked the clerk who assisted me very much, and I return then.

Great photos, DR JRand61! You must feel very proud of the PCP accomplishment.

Visited the dentist today for a check-up. As I hadn't been for 2 years I was expecting the worst but there was nothing wrong and so they just needed a clean.

TOD:

The best party I ever attended was Sandy and my wedding reception.

Incidentally, yesterday (29) was our 11th anniversary.
Congratulations.

DR JOHNG that sounds like a GREAT party.....even with the alligators.
The guests kept all of their limbs, so that was great.

Great photos. Thanks for sharing.

I'm up - I'm sure I would have slept at least another hour had the telephonic device not rung - it was the car place and an automated voice making sure I was happy with last week's service call.

You can say that again!  I made sure to show them to my neighbor who is a DA.  He laughed and said they were growing in his backyard

Oh good.  I hesitated to ask if you told someone, after all you are an intelligent lawyer. :)

Before I went to bed, I took  some codiene-laced aspirin I purchased last August in Dublin

Purchased over the counter?

I'm glad you slept well. :)

I could say the same about our wedding reception.  I had a great time.

Orchestra part dilemma: I can't get the reduction on the printer to work so do i want to print everything on 8.5x11 and enlarge it? I am not happy at the moment.

The old hand-copied parts were generally 9.5x12.5. With the printer, I can print a nice part that's around 11x13, after cutting down the 11x17 paper, but it seems awfully large to me. The only way I can get a copy onto 9.5x12.5 is to copy it on 8.5x11 and enlarge it by around 115%.

My mother, the nurse, wasn't shy about giving us codeine cough medicine.  Even when we weren't coughing.  She also used to bring home empty ether cans for me to play with, since I loved the smell of ether when I was a kid.  Memories, pressed between the pages of my mind.  ;)

I still have a memory -- (and perhaps it's never been anything but a fragment of an impression of an imagined or dreamed moment) -- of the ether mask being place over my face for my age-four tonsillectomy.  At times I've thought there was smell attached to that memory, but I can't lock in on it.  Bizarre, the things that stay with us.

I remember quite clearly the gauze mask being put over my nose and mouth and then the doctor dripping the ether onto it!  It was a sickly sweet smell, but I loved it.

I'm the third with an ether memory. We (my two sisters and I) had our tonsils and adenoids out at the same time around 1957 and I can still see in my mind being wheeled into the operating room on a gurney and having the mask placed over my face and being told to count back from 10. I made it to 9.

I think three children between the ages of 7 and 4 having their tonsils and adenoids out at the same time and then coming home for recuperation helped lead to my mother's breakdown soon after that.

I have been told by more than a few than my mind words as if I had been inhaling a little too much ether  ...  ;D

My memory had the mask as being of a honeycombed look or texture.

I can now say that I have added to my life's achievements by having googled "ether mask".

I've been doing a lot of cutting and pasting - that's all I can say.  Have sent out the eBlast for the next Kritzerland show, have answered e-mails and like that there.

Thanks DR ELMORE and DR JANE - yes, it is most enjoyable to see what we have accomplished, and we did a lot of that last year during our 50th anniversary season......

Yes DR ELMORE at 61 years and 9 months in May - I can start my application for Social Security, which I will do.  My work income is such that I can continue to work a couple of days at the Book Store and not exceed my $14,200 salary limit.....and my PERF retirement monthly payment is NOT counted toward the limit.

DVD reviews are WRITTEN!!!

Did I hear a huge sigh of relief?

I have returned home from Toyland, still pondering what to do about these orchestra parts. I did call Kinko's about having 2000 sheets of 11x17card stock cut to 9.5x 12.5 and delivered. The price wasn't bad.
