Well, there was some miscommunication and the HVAC guys will be here Wednesday and Thursday, not Tuesday and Wednesday as we'd expected.  Not looking forward to sleeping without AC tonight and I'm definitely not cooking dinner.

Sorry.  I guess this also means you won't be cooking tomorrow night ;)

I'm on strike until the new AC is installed.

Just finished my first go-through of our upcoming Blu-ray release of Junior High School.  What a delight.  Transfer looks great, sound isn't quite right yet (supposed to be 1.0 mono and is 2.0, which sounds weird), and the audio on the two featurettes is way too loud, many db hotter than the feature.  And there's one audio glitch they have to fix - it should all be fine after the next pass, but David Wechter's coming by to go over it all, too, just to have another set of ears and eyes.

I have to say it's heartening to read about Ginny and Cilla and the fact that at least one of their parents is still around, something that DW Wife Betsy also shares (both of hers are still alive).  My parents have been dead for so many years that it always surprises me to meet people in my general age group whose parents are still with us.  Love them while they're here!

JRM....thanks for this.  I really do appreciate my parents. I call them every day. They make me laugh every day

Who the hell is JRM?   ;D

Also watched another of the Those Who Kill episodes - this one was quite good after a bad beginning.  Every time they try to be "hip" and do the things US shows do, they get a big fail and it's so unnecessary.  In this case, they did this crap where one of the leads is pointing a gun at someone, about to shoot them.  Then we get a title card that says "one week earlier."  No.  Bad.  Cliche.  Stupid.  We don't need it.  Just tell the damn story.

My Mother had an ultrasound on her leg today to rule out blood clots and, apparently, doesn't have anything that warranted admission to the hospital (a routine with which I'm very familiar...).  She also had 3 vials of blood drawn, with some difficulty, for some tests ordered by her new primary care physician.  It went pretty smoothly, but she was ready for a nap when I got her home.

That is good news.  Good vibes on the test results!!

Ditto!

My friend Carol could use some vibes and prayers this evening. She's in a hospital in Kingston, N.Y., with blood clots in her left leg and lung. This follows several other days of scary medical stuff that seems unrelated.

DR Cilla your parents are very lucky you want to call every day.  Do your siblings also make daily calls?

I think my brother calls about 5 or 6 times a day, he only lives about a mile from them, probably less, actually.  My sister emails and calls occasionally

Finished with my viewing, and I think I'll take a nice hot shower, after which I'll relax then write some notes.
