I'm thinking I may just catch a cab to go to my sleep test.  I really don't want to leave Bonnie in the parking lot.

I don't know how you can sleep worrying about your car.

Vibes on the sleep test, Danise. I hate those things. They  have nothing to do with sleep when you do them.

"Albert Nobbs" is not entertaining me, despite good performances. The script is lame and the direction is inert. It never feels like it's going anywhere. And this after an hour.

But then again, I don't relish the idea of being in a parking lot a 3 or 4 in the morning waiting for cab.

What to do?

Reschedule your sleep test.

I gpt home from dinner to find a sign on the elevator saying it would not be repaired until Monday. since this completely screws up my doing laundry as well as carting a lot of things downstairs tomorrow to cart to the office, I am very very very angry at the moment.

That's what I was thinking but it is too late to say so.

Thanks, George, for the Showboat DVDs. I'm watching the 1950s version, which isn't very good. In fact, the script is worse than I remembered and Kathryn Grayson is irritating beyond the pale. But I'm enjoying it much more than "Albert Nobbs" and there's all that wonderful Kern music.

Love the headline on the front page of our print edition of the Cincinnati Enquirer, referring to Middletown native Kayla Harrison:

Tristate native claims historic golden title

Gymnast Douglas also shines in Games

Our headline was

IOWA'S OWN GABBY DOUGLAS TAKES GOLD
Ok, she's been here 2 years training, but it made me laugh that it makes her "our own"

Rain vibes for the whole country.

I finally finished my paper. That means I can go to sleep. Yeah.

Night, all.

Been reading more of the West Side Story stories.  The ridiculous typos, misspellings, and repetitions continue to mar what could be a really wonderful book.
